MoonGel Damper Pads, Clear (MGC)

Works the way I need it too, all the time. Takes the ringing factor and tonal issues out of any head if you know what your doing. Recommend for when your recording as well so you dont have to cut out any goodness in your eq.

Great dampening properties with these. Got a ringy drum you don't know how to tune properly? These will do the trick.

Nothing better and most cost-effective dampening for drummers! Clear is best. Blue leaves residue marks on coated heads.

Tried these years ago with a cheap kit and they really help with overtones. Tried them again with a new cheap kit. Tried the original blue, but they stained my coated snare heads. Tried the clear this time. They definitely stick together worse. Just a little patience and SLOW pulling; they will come apart in on piece. Have faith. LOL. Seems like they are a bit thinner and squisher than I remember. Don’t know if there is a difference between the clear and blue, a formula change over the years, or my failing memeory. Either way my cats find them delicious!Feline friends love pulling them off my drums in the middle of the night. They haven't fully devoured one yet, and they are non-toxic, but it gets a bit pricey to replace something that I found usually lasts almost forever with regular cleaning.

Sure I used to use paper towels and duct tape to dampen up my heads but these are just such a clean and clear look that I'll never go back, and reusable too. You probably need more than you think you do because a single gel doesn't do that much, so buy extra and have enough to get your kit fine tuned and sounding like you want.I even used this on the bottom side of a rack tom and they stay on no problem.

I don’t own a drum kit. I use this to clean the stylus on my record player. I don’t think I can name names but there is a $40 dust removal gel that is a slightly larger piece of the exact same stuff you get 6 piece of here. You just have to be real careful same as the name brand gel, it’s easy to break the cantilever when the stylus is in the gel. The gel is very strong laterally. Use the tonearm lifter to gently raise and lower the stylus into the gel. You will see the junk left behind in the gel when you’re done.

Amazing product for cymbal dampening. If they get dirty you just rinse them, use some liquid hand soap to clean and then air dry them. Back to original condition.

It's easier to handle if you stick it in the freezer for a while. I bought some, but my drums tuned up nicely so I didn't have to use it. I don't know what I'm going to do with mine...
