I brought these thumb sleeves to help my thumbs from getting ripped up while learning the hook grip. They help out tremendously. Soft, thick but still flexible. Easy to put on and off. Buy the pouch!!! It doesn’t NOT come with it, you have to buy it separately. They are easy to lose, so save urself the hassle. Only grip is finding out what size is best for you. I noramlly would get a medium, but seen some reviews say to down size since they stretch over time and so they don’t slip off. So I got a small, they fit a little tight but don’t slip off. Has gotten a little lose from using them. But everyones thumb is different so it’s gona vary person to person

I struggled with a few different tapes, all of them being inconvenient to apply, uncomfortable to wear and/or leaving sticky residue. I'm soo glad I found these nubs - absolutely love them! Protection-wise, I wouldn't say it's better than tape (after all, all you need is a layer of something between your skin and the handle), but it's elastic and doesn't get in the way of bending the thumbs - this is something you'd get only when using a kinesio tape, not a regular tape. They were a bit tight the first time, but from the second time on, putting them on is easy, they are soft and comfortable, yet sit on the thumbs very well and protect my skin. I used to have especially bad, wet skin tears when working out bootcamp (hi intensity) with dumbbells, and the nubs work wonders protecting me now.

So, I'm a bit older, I've been playing guitar since the early 80's. Arthritis and sensitive nerves hit hard. For me, the thumb is the worst. When I reach over the frets and hit the corner of the neck, it sends a sharp pain. So I started looking for Arthritis gloves. They are cumbersome and get in the way, I saw these, and thought they would be perfect. I wasn't sure what size I would need, so I bought the medium and large sets. Both work well, but the medium covers less of my thumb allowing more uncumbersome movement. I am ecstaticly happy - this little product has extended my ability to play for years to come. Whomever invented this has my eternal thanks.

I've been using tape during xfit work outs for years but the tape gets moist or starts to peel up and next thing you know it's falling off and here come the blisters. I saw a buddy using these Nubs one day during a workout and asked if they work, she said yes they work very well so I figured what the heck for $9 I'll try it. I measured my knuckle like suggested for propped fit and ordered the mediums, as expected the first time you put these on are super tight but after one or three wods they fit great. I only gave these four stars because each use does require pulling them back up your thumbs during the workout.

I've purchased these in the past. I usually dont write too many reviews. But today I was trying to take advantage of a promotion for these nubs and ran into an issue. Customer care was top notch very responsive answered all my questions and resolved all my issues. Now onto the product. I've been doing crossfit for almost 8 years now. And anyone that does Olympic lifts and/or high intensity workouts using a hook grip must own a pair of nubs. They fit great and they are thin enough they don't interfere with your grip. But thick enough that it protect. I've been using the same pair for a while now coming up on 3 years. They are durable, I use them a lot. So they are starting to wear through a bit. I tried a competitive brand about a year ago when my nubs were left in my pocket and went through the wash and I thought they were gone forever. I tried ordering another pair of nubs but they didnt have the inventory that day so I ordered a different brand thinking eh, same sh*#. Well boy was I wrong. The other brand was big and bulky and messed with my grip. Didn't feel natural lake my nubs. Long story short (not too short lol) I'm ordering another pair cause I love them so much. Best bang for your buck. Think about all the tape I would've purchased within these few years. Finger and money savers. Get yours!

It was ok for barbell complexes, but one flew off during sweaty power snatches in a WOD. It's a good idea because taping up is a pain, especially if you need to take a bathroom break, but I still prefer tape.

If you have maybe semi delicate fingers, maybe you're just learning how to use the hookgrip method for lifting. Whatever the reason, this is truly a game changer. I've tried taping my thumbs, it just resulted in overwrapping, me losing feeling in my thumb for a good while after the workout was complete and just overall discomfort. This nice blend of materials is so easy to slip on and slip off. I feel the most secure I've ever felt with these little sleeves and can't imagine using anything else. Quick tidbit for breaking them in, in my opinion and experience. I always chalk my hands and area around my thumb before AND after slipping them on. I just feel a more secure fit this way, and don't size up, size DOWN. I ordered medium but then they kept slipping off my fingers during the workout. So I'd have to readjust which isn't that big of a deal. But seconds are seconds for a WOD. I ordered a size small this time around and it feels ever so secure and a way better fit. I don't even want to return the other size, I want to give it to someone who could greatly benefit from this product. Keep it going strong guys! As a CrossFit Coach, I truly recommend using this. BUT it also doesn't mean that those who use tape may prefer this over taping. To each their own, but I really like this =]

Bowling ball was eating up my thumb. Got this had my ball drilled a hair bigger on thumb hole. Saved my thumb and improved my average by 20 pins in a week. The release is much smoother I have a much smoother release with it. Great investment. I will not bowl with out it. I have tried bowlers tape for same thing but it falls if after a game and I get sweaty so sometimes not even a game. This is a great product and should be in bowling pro shops.

I use these when playing Bass guitar as a slap/thumb protector ala Mark King : I’m allergic to the glue on pvc tape (King uses 3M electrical tape) so these are ideal. I only use one at a time so last twice as long

S'enfile/se retire assez facilement (c'est bien plus rapide et économique que de devoir se strapper les pouces à chaque séance avec du scotch spécial). Donne un peu plus de "grip" pour les doigts qui attrape le pouce. Protège bien les pouces des frictions produites par le contact avec la barre. Je les utilise plusieurs fois par semaine depuis plusieurs mois et je n'ai pas constaté de dégradation du tissu est des coutures.

Hatte vorher immer goat tape zum Liften an den Daumen, das das einzige Tape war, was bei meinen schwitzigen Händen gehalten hat. Die Nubs haben sich schon amortisiert, da ich sie ca. 10x zum Liften benutzt habe und das wäre jetzt eine Rolle goat tape gewesen. Sie halten sehr fest an den Daumen (wenn man wie bekloppt 30 power cleans for time macht, rutschen sie ggf. etwas ab und man muss nachjustieren, das Tape wäre aber hier ab), drücken nicht und fallen im Gegensatz zu meinen Grips bisher nicht durch Geruch auf... klar zu empfehlen! Ich würde auf jeden Fall noch einen Karabiner mitbestellen und die Nubs draufstecken, wenn sie nicht an den Daumen sind, damit sie nicht verloren gehen. Update Februar 2019: Zweites Paar bestellt, weil ich das erste Paar verbummelt habe - ich habe sie dutzende Male benutzt und sie waren noch so gut wie am ersten Tag. Nachdem ich ein paar Mal Chalk rauf gemacht habe (das ist trotz der Nubs noch empfehlenswert) hat sich das mit dem Abrutschen auch weitestgehend gegeben. Ich würde auch 20€ dafür zahlen, bin großer Fan von den Dingern!

I saw another review that these are smaller than before and i must agree. I have very short fingers, so it's a plus for me that they are shorter, but unfortunately they are also tighter. First time I got the S, size was perfect. This time, they squeeze my finger. Deducted a star because of it. Hopefully with time they will get a little more comfortable. Quality overall is great, so I will keep them.
