Great deck, (with UK plug) 👍
Excellent, very solid turntable. No issues. Came with a UK PLUG !!Someone at Amazon has finally been paying attention. 👍 Update: After 2 days the stylus veered alarmingly to the left, when I tried to return it to the centre it snapped off. Bad luck? Not enough time spent setting the turntable up? Or rough handling?? Take your pick....I immediately sent off for the Ortofon Blue, (with headshell), the result? Much happy listening, no issues. Delighted! ⭐ 👍

Great Turntable 👍
Very nice quality Turntable. Replacement for my Project Carbon Evo. I'm currently running a Ortofon 2M Black and Bronze Cartridge and they sound Fantastic compared to my old TT. Great Bass weight and improved Midrange and Detail. The Soundstage has also got more open. It's a nice Heavy TT and lovely build quality. I was going to go for the SL1500C. But I have my own phono Pre Amp so there didn't seem any point in paying the extra £150 for something I don't need. Great TT🎶

Definitely one to consider if in your budget.
Not sure why I have been asked to rate this item for 'sheerness' and 'accuracy'? Weird.Anyway, what you get here for your money is a good looking, well built and great sounding turntable. This lower cost (£100) version of the 1500C is clearly designed for those who prefer a separate phono preamp and to choose their own cartridge/ stylus. Don't get me wrong, the Conical sounds perfectly fine (and is a downright bargain at £30) however invest in the the ML stylus (two click upgrade) and you'll start to see what this turntable is capable of.Speed is incredibly stable and it runs whisper quiet. I already much prefer Direct Drive less fussy turntables and this is what you get here. The only complaint I would have is that in my opinion it's not £450 better than the Audio Technica AT-LP5X which has a slightly better stylus and built in phono preamp/ USB function (if that's your type of thing- not mine). However with all premium products you do just get that extra level of enjoyment/ satisfaction from the construction quality and feel of the item. This definitely applies here.Lovely product, maybe just a touch pricey.DO NOT TOUCH THE COUNTERWEIGHT WHILE PLAYING LIKE THE GUY WHO MADE THE VIDEO!

Great product - Awful customer service
First of the all the turntable sounds great when it works. After receiving mine the auto return function was faulty so the record stopped and the tone arm returned before the record had finished. Which is pretty annoying when songs are cut short when listening. Secondly I realised that some of the records I played looked warped, it transpires that actually the platter wasn’t flat and was causing the needle to bounce and records to wobble. After contacting Amazon they were less then helpful in getting a replacement as I originally bought this turntable on Amazon Prime Deals day and the price had gone up by £120. They recommended I spoke to Technics direct, which I did and they told me to speak to a repair centre, which I did who told me to speak to Amazon again. After hours and hours of calls and messaging Amazon gave me a refund which means I now need to fork out the additional £120 to replace as the price has now gone up.It’s a great turntable when there isn’t a fault, and if there is one don’t expect support from the manufacture or Amazon. It’s an expensive buy and I would think twice about purchasing after the customer service I have received.

Rock solid quality.
Having returned two Roksan Attessa's with wobbly platters, following the death of a Pro-ject Debut's motor, I was in the market for sturdy quality, and the Technics did not disappoint. Speed stability is faultless, with a perfectly level platter. the turntable is rock solid and oozes quality. I upgraded to the AT-VM95SH Shibata stylus, and the sound I'm getting out of this thing is astonishing. It's a looker too, which helps. Everything just works. I can't see myself going back to a fiddly so-called 'audiophile' turntable after this. And it'll possibly outlive me anyway. It's the best sounding deck I've ever had, and the easiest to use too.

Lovely turntable but came with wrong wrong mains lead
Stock levels on the Technics SL100C always seem to be low and for a few months it has either been out of stock or priced higher than the SL1500C (basically the same but wirh an in-built pre amp). So when on Prime Day I saw it back in stock reduced back to the original retail price I bought one. However, it came with 2 mains leads neither of which had a UK plug. I could have bought an adapter or a new power lead but when forking out £799 that's not the point. Amazon didn't have an answer and eventually insisted a return be triggered. I refused that and called Technics direct who were far more helpful and after providing proof of purchase sent a UK mains lead. So loses a star purely based on Amazon's lack of help / advice in what was their error as the deck wasn't described as eu mains only. The turntable is pretty easy to set up, the only real element is setting the tone arm balance and weight. It's worth watching some youtube videos on that if in doubt but it was fairly quick and painless once I had worked out how to fix and adjust the counter weight (the instructions are a bit basic on that part). It's worth getting a stylus weight gauge to be sure of the tracking weight. I immediately upgraded the stylus to the ATVMN95ML which is a fairly simple job as it uses the same cartridge as the stock stylus. It's simple to operate and from early impressions sounds great with my set up (Audiolab Omnia amp and KEF Q350 speakers) and feels a heavy and solid turntable. It's a fairly heavy deck so needs a solid stand or unit.
