Q: Are these shelves full extension? Can the systainer lid be opened while it is still in the drawer and not interfere with shelf above it?

When the drawer/shelf is in full extension, you can fully open the Systainer lid without removing the Systainer from the shelf or bumping into the shelf above.

Q: would these be ok mounted in a van? do they latch secure enough to stay in place during transit?

Based on Festool document, it is not recommend installing in a van. However, I saw a couple people did. You can also put some type of stop block in front of it to prevent it to slide out during transit. Search FOG for more details.

Q: Does this include screws to attach the guides to cabinets?

Yes, it has the "euro" screws that fit into the metric holes drilled into the case

Q: does it include the side rails?

Yes it includes the tray, the rails and some hardware to mount it. Basically all you need to do is build a carcass out of plywood and mount it inside and it works perfectly. I bought the Dystainer Drawer as well as the Festool Systainer Port and prefer the Sydtainer Drawer over the Systainer Port, not to mention it's much cheaper.
