Xikar Scribe Lighter, Burl

I saw this lighter in a cigar shop, but didn't want to pay the premium price, so found it here. Great lighter for travel and being more discrete when your out on the town or just want to always have one with you. It pulls up a bit to start the gas and lights easily, giving a nice long full flame that will easily light cigars and pipes with no problem. Push the lighter back down and the flame is out without being hot, so you can toss it back in your pocket. Easy to fill butane, so it is handy to use and has a clean burn. Feels more like a good match light when toasting and lighting my cigars.

I must say that I am very disappointed with this lighter. The lighter is beautiful, there is no question. The lighter is light weight and carries easily. That said, the lighter is inconsistent. Hit the ignition ten times with no light. Then it will ignite first time six times in a row. Go to light it again and nothing but sparks. Beautiful lighter that simply doesn't work very well.

Very nice quality. Fluid window handy because it's a VERY small capacity lighter. Also requires two hands to use (pulling apart to open gas valve). Overall nice for around the house.

I don't use it much, but love the way it works and looks. Other people love it too. It works well.

Works well, has a small fuel tank, but holds a decent amount for its overall size.

This lighter looks great! worked well for all of a day and a half then blew a seal at the joint in the center and burst into flames in my hand. I returned to Xikar under Warranty for repairs. About 4 weeks later I recieved a bill for return shipping and was told to choose a different lighter as the scribe has been discontinued. Not impressed at all. Avoid this lighter at all costs, as it is likely to explode in your hands, and Xikar will not service or replace it with anything remotely similar.
