Can you use these straps in salt water, i.e. for scuba diving?

Yes. I have used them to secure gear in both fresh and salt water. They work great. After use in salt water, remember to rinse them in fresh water and allow to dry out completely before storing them. Hope this helps.

No. These are flexible wrapping straps. The straps stick to themselves.
