Swedish dishcloths are sold on the basis that you’ll save on paper towels when mopping up. And if you’re a paper towel freak, you will. But to be fair, any washable cloth would do the same job. Are they absorbent? Yes - but so is any decent towel or tea towel. So neither of these selling points hit the spot for me. Nonetheless, I think these cloths are great. I’ll try to explain why. 1. They are simply pleasant to use. They feel good in the hand. If you want to wipe a surface, or wash a dish, you will happily pick up one of these. Maybe you’ll wipe more often, as I did - and your space will look better. 2. The cloths are equally useful around the house. You will find yourself earmarking some for non kitchen tasks. 3. Unlike some microfibre, this cloth does not catch on your skin. Win! 4. They can be folded and hung neatly over a rack, or sink tidy. No more ugly cloth eyesore by your sink. 5. Quick drying = better hygiene. 6. Easy to sanitise - in the dishwasher or washing machine 7. No waste. At all. You can find Swedish dishcloths with attractive artwork as well, if that’s your thing. But the Wettex is the original, and these particular cloths have a very good weight and feel for the price. I’m pleased I found them, and hope you will be too.

I bought a pack of 10 and began using on Jan 1st 2024. I have 3 in use, rotating them. Launder regularly., in washing machine or dishwasher. After a year, I'm retiring 1 of them as it is just starting to develop holes, after 12 months use. They shrink slightly once wet But mop up very efficiently, super absorbent, and tough. They wring out to almost dry, and hung over tap will dry out very quickly. Also used slightly damp under mixing bowl to stop sliding. At this rate, my pack of 10 will last me a decade. And I will put retired ones into use outside for wiping flowerpots etc. Then shred into small pieces for compost bin. I am so pleased with these. Cost is less than 4p a week

After - having to invest in some new kitchen cloths - wipes - I thought I’d scratch around, haven’t used these for several years .. They aren’t the cheapest ? But they are definitely one of the very best - IMO - Still the the best - kitchen cloth/wipes/sponges - easy to clean in dishwasher/washing machine - last for ages. Leaving a very clean surface/area , wether using for washing up or wiping down , easy to ring out , and extremely easy to clean , I just toss mine in the top of the dishwasher .. Perfect again and again ..

I initially got this because of the hype swedish dishcloth has. I am somewhat underwhelmed. It is not as absorbant as I'd like it to be. Will use it only for general cleaning / wiping down. I do find it handy I can just put it in the dishwasher by the end of the day.

These cleaning clothes are super absorbent and wipe down kitchen tops and washes dishes very well. They are the best as far as I am concerned. So will be buying more when I need too. They last such a long time though!

I was a bit skeptical, and thought they would not last long, but they go on forever. I reckon a pack of 10 will last us at least a year, which is better than the various cotton dish cloths. They are machine washable and biodegradable too. Perfect!

Better than the bulky sponge types, this is thin and flexible but still very absorbent. Easy to rinse and wring out.

These arrived very quickly and bring a bit of colour to the kitchen. Much nicer than the standard dish cloths you get in the supermarket and just the right size. Very pretty

I ordered these because I use WAY too many paper towels. I used to use paper towels when washing dishes because I don't like to spread germs. But it's just too many paper towels. I bought these. These are terrific dish cloths. You can wash the dishwasher or washing machine. I choose to wash in the washing machine - not dryer safe - hang to dry. According the package you can use hundreds of times. I use a new one every day so I feel good about controlling the germs. I really like these and will buy again when these get used up - a long time from now. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I have always had 7-10 dishcloths/rags in my drawer washing every other day. I am going to be 71 so unlikely to change routine. So I thought without much expense, I would try these Swedish dish cloths and absolutely love them. What I love is that they are sturdier than a limp wet dishcloth if washing something by hand. But also, they ring out a lot more moisture than a dishcloth so when I wipe granite countertop, there are no streaks or water bubbles. Looks clean. They dry quick, stiff, with no odor. Still throw in the wash but they don’t seem to “hold” dirt and stains as a cotton dishcloth. Cleaner than sponges and more economical so you don’t need to toss frequently. So I have replaced my sponges and dishcloths with these space saving wetter Swedish cloths and very happy with my purchase so far. A bang for the buck.
