Cooler Master MP511 XL Gaming Mouse Pad with Splash-Resistant,Durable Cordura Fabric, Anti-Slip Rubber Base for Gaming Mouse (MP-511-CBEC1)

I am writing this review from the perspective of an experienced FPS enjoyer. I will start off by saying that if you are looking for a mousepad for non-gaming use, please save your money and buy a much cheaper mousepad as those will be sufficient for your use case.The material seems very nice to the touch and is not abrasive or rough as some people have described the MP510 to be; however I have not used the MP510 myself and cannot personally verify the veracity of the comparison. This mousepad is definitely on the faster side and will allow your mouse to glide across the pad with little resistance. As a result of the low friction, this will be more useful for games where you are moving your crosshair a lot (e.g. Overwatch and Apex Legends) as opposed to games where you hold your crosshair steadier more often than not (e.g. CS:GO and Valorant). That being said, if you use a lower sensitivity/DPI combo you may still be okay for those styles of games. I am using this pad with the Razer DeathAdder V2 and it glides very nicely with the stock mouse feet and cable, but glide is a combination of many minute factors and as a result YMMV.If the material used is genuine Cordura fabric as they claim it is, this is probably the best value mousepad in this price range (or, at least, one of the best). That being said, if your main games are tactical shooters or other games where you rely on precise placement of your mouse, this may not be the pad for you. In those cases, I would definitely recommend that you search for a control pad as opposed to a speed pad like this one.

I got the MP511 in XL, and it is been a massive step up from any cloth pad that I have used previously. The surface is a lot faster than your average cloth pad, but I found that for me, the real benefit was in consistency. Due to several factors cloth pads can change in feel over time, and even different sections of a cloth pad can feel different based on usage. With the cordura surface of the MP511, every inch of the pad feels identical, and the pad doesn't get affected by humidity. The stitching on the edge of the pad is soft, although this means that it may lack the durability of a rougher or less comfort oriented stitching. I personally like the feel of the soft stitching, but some people might not like the look of the stitching as it gets worn. The only real negative is that the pad takes a long time to flatten. About 3-4 inches on the sides of the pad start off as quite noticeably uneven because the pad comes packaged in a tube. After about three months of use the sides are still ever so slightly uneven, however this effect is so small that the weight of my mouse as it goes over the sides will flatten the surface, and it does not in any way affect how the mouse handles at the edges of the pad. Overall, this mousepad is fantastic, and I would recommend it to anyone who has not tried cordura yet, or is looking for a large cordura pad.Pros:- very inexpensive given the cordura surface and size of the pad- excellent surface consistency- "faster" than a cloth pad, if that's what you are looking for- no functional issuesCons:- edges are slightly uneven and take time to flatten- the logo in the corner is purple and could have been a more neutral color (I'm nitpicking here)

Good- speed- durable- logo placement isn't large or bad- sizeBad- edges curl up, but you can mostly fix this by rolling it up the opposite way for a month, this matters less when you get the extended XXL version- 3310 sensor will spin out (this is mostly a problem with the 3310 though, consider if buying though)

This mouse pad feels fantastic, I've owned it for a month and a half now. It feels premium, the stitching is well done. The glide and control is perfect for me. Never used the MP510, but I heard that one had glow in the dark logo, this new MP511 doesn't glow. It's super easy to clean and water resistant. It does take about a few weeks for it to lay flat though.

Simply put this is the best mousepad I've ever used. I bought the bigger one to fill my whole desk because I loved it so much.

The MP511 is a much better version and a big upgrade to the MP510. The static friction and gliding feel much faster on the MP511 than the MP510 to me personally. The one huge negative about the MP511 is the packaging. The mousepad comes extremely tightly rolled up and is extremely hard to get to lay flat. I've tried text books from my college days laid on top of the mousepad for 48 hours and still the ends blow upward off my desk. The only other thing I can try is to take a towel on top of the pad and crank an iron up high to heat transfer to the pad and maybe loosen the rubber base to train it flat. If the packaging was just a little bigger and the mousepad was rolled a little looser than this would have gotten a 5-sstar review
