I have to have a fan when I sleep. It's been that way forever. My 16-in plastic Lasko fan of many years was making a whole lot of noise. Holy cow! The cost of a good reliable fan is insane these days. If I was going to have to drop 50 bucks or more I was going to get myself something that was going to last. This particular metal fan is pretty expensive bud Lasko is a very reliable product line as far as I am concerned. I found this particular unit on Amazon's good used items list for about 50 bucks. I've purchased reduced priced items before with great luck and of course Amazon guarantees and backs everything they sell without argument so I took the chance and I have not regretted it. This unit is very simple, no remote no digital just a fan. Three speeds knob on top. Very well made and for me the most important thing is I can clean this thing and put it back together. I can't stand gunk on my fan. THE FAN IS VERY QUIET VERY FUNCTIONAL. ON HIGH SPEED NUMBER THREE, YOU'RE GOING TO GET A LITTLE LIGHT HELICOPTER SOUND BUT THE AIR FLOW IS FANTASTIC. THE OSCILLATING FACTOR OF THE FAN IS ALSO WIDE and appreciated. I highly recommend this unit. It also looks really good, the dark metallic finish is very nice.

Fan is metal with more of a brushed gunmetal look than bronze. The lowest setting is faster maybe than needed. I probably will never use the highest setting or maybe not even the mid setting very much as the low setting is pretty fast. I would have preferred a slower low setting so the fan could be placed close and personal. The low setting is actually sufficient to move a room of air so not something you would sit a couple of feet away from you, but I suppose that isn’t it’s use case anyway. It is a table top fan not a personal fan. If anyone is interested, the power consumption in watts from lo/med/hi is 30/36/43. Whether it is oscillating or not does not appreciably affect consumption, just a couple tenths of a watt. Noise seems about average. The fan has 5 blades so it does move air well and the blades are metal so I am hoping they will not flatten out over time from centrifugal force and no longer move air, if anyone has ever experienced that with a plastic blade fan which does happen to them. It looks good and functions as expected, so you be the judge if it is worth the premium price. I say it is as having something in your home/office that is an eyesore or just utilitarian ugly gets old quick and you will wish you had popped for the nicer looking one, plus it is metal and has 5 blades rather than the normal 4 or many even with only 3. That was a selling point for me. Recommended.

Beautiful fan. Love the look. So beautiful with antiques. Moves lots of air and the sound is no problem. Going to buy more for the bedrooms.

I love this fan! It is the exact retro look I wanted and it puts out a ton of air. Much more than my plastic Lasko. It is a heavy, high quality fan. Here is my reason for 4 stars. These fans have a tendency to have a dull squeak when oscillating. Only in one direction. I returned the first fan due to this issue. The second fan worked well out of the box, but developed the dull squeak after a day or so. Then the dull squeak just went away on its own. I do have some WD 40 on standby if needed. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would recommend the product.

This fan is better than I would have ever expected. It is of much better construction than I had expected. It is so well made that I feel like it is something to leave to my grandchildren lol. It does cost about $80.00 but it is worth every cent. You can buy a cheap plastic fan or pay a little more and have great quality. It is sturdy, well constructed, and quite heavy so it stays put. Other reviews said that it was to noisy for a bedroom but on low I find it is perfect. It has a soothing low key air flow. Also when kept in one direction the air seems to blow all around the room not just in one straight direction. If you want a quality fan at a little higher price than this is your best bet.

We’ve had this fan for 4 years, and use it nightly to move air in our bedroom. Still love it. It looks great, it’s quiet, it blows a lot of air. The base is odd in that it’s hollow underneath. However it came with a large foam insert that we’ve just left under the base and that has worked fine so far.

its the greatest fan ever! we got it overnight, from Amazon. We were dying here in southern California in this heat, with out A/C. This fan kept our bedroom cool all night so that we could sleep here, rather that outside!! Highly recommended. Lots of safety instructions.

Received this item yesterday afternoon. It is exactly what I was looking for. The blades are made of metal, the sound it produces is loud enough to hear that it is turned on while at the same time it is quiet enough to sleep to. Like when the window was open in the summer with a box fan in it and it was on. Them soft qentle sound it would make. The Body is All Metal. This fan is made for durability. The Finish is Brushed Nickle. The Value is Well Worth the Price Paid. Installation Is Easy-Peasy just plug it in. The Three (3) Speeds are PerfectIc. Neither my Wife or I complained any about it. It kept Us Comfortably Cool, we Both had a good nights sleep. The Size Feels like that of a Good Sized Floor Fan all the while it is a Small Coffie Table Fan. The Color is Good that it looks like it’s an Antique and Blends In Nicely with Any Background in Any Room. If You are looking for a good fan that is relatively quiet, then this is the one You are/have been looking for.

This is a really high quality fan that is quiet and works very well. It provides fantastic air flow and also works when plugged into a smart plug. it also has a really nice vintage look that makes it a nice addition to any room. We love it.

Work of art, beautiful fan all metal (heavy) this will last a lifetime. I own another Lasko all metal box fan that I've had for a few years and it to is another lifetime fan. Great job Lasko saving me from plastic fans. Fan is quiet on 1 for sleeping even 2 is not to loud 3 louder but I definitely I can sleep to it.

If your here... your probably asking yourself " am I crazy to buy a $100 fan?" You are not alone I thought so too but man is this slick. Looks exactly like the pictures and gives a good amount of breeze... it is a but noisy as expected with a metal fan but doesn't clunk or squeek . It's heavy so it's made well and very sturdy . All in all if your looking for a good looking...... likely long lasting fan this one is good
