Great product! Effective, all natural, and good value. Disregard the negative reviews.
This is wonderful stuff and a great brand. I don't know why people would give it bad reviews. It is a little tangy because they use lemon juice as a preservative instead of artificial ones, but is very drinkable. I received mine in perfect condition. It looks, smells, and tastes great. It helps to sooth and heal the digestive tract and works well for this. It's a great product and well worth the price. As with any food or drink, you should keep it in the fridge. If you're not going to drink it within a month to a month and a half, then freeze it in ice cube trays and put the cubes in a zip-lock freezer bag. When you're ready to use it you can put a cube or two into a drink of your choice.

Soothes your stomach
Somethings going on with my stomach possibly acid reflux. I am in the process of seeing the doctor for testing. This was recommended to me by a cousin because I was eating so many Tums if you drink it undiluted it gives pretty quick relief for heartburn or nausea if you add it to a bottle of water And just sip it as you try to relax it’s very soothing. Also, on very hot days or after exercise or some other sweaty activity. It’s also really good mixed in with water. It seems extra hydrating andvery thirst quenching. Just an FYI, it can also have a mild laxative effect if that’s a concern start with small amounts until you see how your body reacts to it

Don’t care for the taste
The only reason it’s a 4 star and not 5 is the taste! It’s tastes like it’s rancid, I even put it in a container in my frig and it has a nozzle on it for easy use day and night. The health benefits are amazing and I find I have less tummy problems. I don’t think I would buy again as the taste is not a fit for me.

Surprisingly Refreshing (and My Stomach Thanks Me)
This aloe vera juice is one of those things you don’t realize you needed until you try it. It’s clean, not overly sweet, and way smoother than I expected. I’ve been using it regularly and my stomach has officially filed a formal “thank you” note. It’s not a dessert, but it is refreshingly mild and easy to drink—especially chilled. If you’re looking for something gentle, natural, and actually pleasant to take, this one’s a winner.

I’d like to share three serious concerns about this juice
I’d like to share three serious concerns about this juice. This juice is NOT 'preservative free". It contains citric acid, a very popular food preservative, inhibiting bacteria growth by lowering the pH. (Any google search confirms this fact). Funny though, they call it on the label "pH stabilizer' ?? (usually one needs a stabilizer to keep pH around neutral, like the buffering compounds, rather than lowering it). My personal concern is that I was planning on taking this juice (like many others) as a potential relieve of my chronic acid reflux, but the pH of this juice (measured with a professional pH meter) was surprisingly low, around 3.5 !! Consistent with this, I really used to feel an unpleasant acidity and heartburn immediately after drinking it. When they do a pH study, the G.I. doctors consider a pH drop below 4 in the esophagus as an episode of acid reflux, so this juice is like bringing the non-physiological conditions of acid reflux. It's a paradox, since many physicians administer dosages of Aloe Vera juice to eradicate the acidic content of the body. Well, but certainly not with such an acidic version of the juice. Yet, the Lily of the Desert product is advertised as "Balance stomach acidity naturally"?! It is unclear why its pH is too low, since they claim the citric acid is less than 0.3%, but whatever the reason, this pH in unacceptable. Other concerns: * Potassium sorbate (E202) is another well known preservative. Calling it a "mold inhibitor" in the label seems to be intentionally misleading, just another way to avoid the term "preservative". Is this how they justify the "preservatives-free" statement? *Also, Carrageenan used in this juice has been shown to be carcinogenic in rats, a potential human carcinogen. You better do your research and conclusions, before you start swallowing this thing.

The product may be high quality, but it isn't for me.
The Aloe vera juice has an awful taste. Plus, once opened, it begins an expiration of 45 days. One person, even if you like it, can't or shouldn't consume in that short amount of time. I can only assume the product is and does what it professes to be. So it may be a perfectly quality product.
