Buy this product. Great for any crafting project you have going on. The thickness is spot on, and I've had these pieces for years without a problem. Solid foam with no messy foam balls to clean up. A great price and a great product.!!

Not flimsy floral foam. Not squishy expanded bead material. Not the fragile crumbly white stuff. This is patternmaking quality cast high density closed cell styrene foam-- something I didn't know existed. And less expensive than urethane or phenolic patternmaker's foam. .... Being styrene, it's probably incompatible with cyanoacrylate and many solvent'based adhesives. Should be fine with 2-part adhesives such as epoxies and JB Plastic Weld. Being impermeable, it's going to be incompatible with adhesives meant for wood and textiles. ........... Just got it a few minutes ago, so can't comment yet on its working qualities.

I read all the reviews on this item but only 1 bad review so I figured why not give it a try. What sorry crap this material is! Tried to lightly trim a small piece from the corner and the piece just broke off leaving a bunch of styrofoam balls sticking out - SAVE YOUR MONEY!

This is a very small product, and it isn't worth much.d it isn't worth much.

This is essentially just high density Styrofoam. I thought this would be an actual foam used in carving based on the description. When you cut into this block expect a bunch of balls of Styrofoam to fly off.
