Works as expected

I bought these to try my hand at some larger plants like peppers and tomatoes in deep water cultures. Although they are 2" squares they will not fill all the way to the bottom of a 3" net cup due to the cup's taper. I will pick up some 6" cups to use in 5 gallon buckets and see what happens. These blocks are nicely packaged and came with a set of gloves. Unlike the bulk sheets of 1.25" blocks, none arrive damaged. I look forward to using these and will follow up with a report on my success or failure.

I have been using this brand for a couple of years in my porch hydroponic garden. I have placed multiple orders which always come fast and in perfect condition. I have a few grows now under my belt, but I am always looking for new products to use that will increase efficiency. Primarily, these end up being electronics that just make the entire process easier.I went the "el cheapo" route before and ordered some rockwool "cubes" that were in a huge sheet, and just absolute trash.They would basically crumble in your hands.I am happy to tell you that this is not the case with this product. These little blocks are the perfect size for seedlings or cuttings. They also are firm to the touch. The plastic around them helps keep the shape so it is much harder to accidentally close the air pockets in the rockwool.I would give this product a 5 star rating, but the glove in the picture was not included.

Big fat rockwool cubes. They are nice. Careful thpugh, they killed a lot of seedlings as they sprouted. The rockwool is hard and just sheared the plants off as they sprouted. When I started softening the area at the top of the hole the sprouts stopped getting sheared off.

Warning : these are too big for the standard 2" netcups . If you have standard 2" netcups, you need to buy the smaller 1.5" rockwoolsOther than that, these are good standard rockwools and I received my pair of gloves unlike others

Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how unfriendly these are for the environment. From now on I will buy coconut coir instead.

I like the fact that it came package well in a box and with gloves , and thank you for the gloves by the way, and the fact that it didn't have a hole in them is great cuz I can make the size I need .
