My bottle doesn't have a seal. Is it meant to be sealed underneath the cap?

I believe mine was only sealed with plastic over the cap.

Why 6g added sugar & a preservative??

Yes, I was wondering about that too. 6 gms of sugar is 1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar in two teaspoons of the cough syrup!!!

Is the new plastic packaging bpa and phthalate free?

I'm not sure but if you visit their website you can contact the costumer service, they will be happy to answer any of your questions. is a trustful company as well as the quality of their products.
