New life for 75 year old antique stove!
I have a 75 year old Gaffers & Sattler gas range with 3 ovens and 5 burners. A LOT of pilot lights and safety capillary switches on the main burners to tend to, and each OEM mercury-filled capillary flame switch retails for around $400, with knock-offs going for about $200. Given the price of this nifty generic capillary thermostat switch, I gave it a shot. I had to fab a simple bracket adapter for the main body of the unit to mount in the same location, but everything else was a perfect match. Connecting the original flame switch spades and wires to “P” and “2” on this unit, then dialing the thermostat up to the midpoint to complete the circuit when the bulb reached over 250 degrees was about right for a pilot-light switch. Works a treat, and I can bake again! Just in time to make my husband a cake for his birthday this month. A new simple replacement gas range would have cost well over $1000 given these nutty tariffs, so I’m very happy to have found this versatile capillary flame switch and thermostat. Recommended!

Good to Control Temperature of Smoker
I have been using this to control temperature in my smoker for about a year and it works great. I hooked it to a duplex receptacle. If I'm just using charcoal, I drive a small fan with this thermostat to control the air flow. Otherwise, I have an electric heating element that I connect to it. The thermostat holds a stable temperature with no problems.

Habe für eine Bühnen-Nebelmaschine einen Temperaturschalter gesucht und Diesen hier gefunden. Der Schalter hat die passenden elektrischen Werte und erfüllt perfekt das, was er tun soll, nämlich im richtigen Temperaturbereichsfenster ein - bzw. ausschalten. Works great!
I bought another brand first and it had a 75°F fluctuation, much too wide for proper baking. I installed this one today and tested it. So far it stays within 9°F of what it is set for. Much better, and the price is right!
