Does this product have slope and angle readings?

The way I have mine set is to give actual distance and also shooting (horizontal) distance. So basically it has the slope and angle calculations and uses this to calculate what I really want, which is shooting distance. I think you can also set it to show the degrees of angle if that's what you'd rather see.

Does it have to be 30 yards or farther

Hi there, The minimum distance is just need farther than 5 yards. Not the 30 yards. Any other need you can contact me any time: service@aofar.com. I am here for you all the time.

how far does it actually read a deer?

If you can put the dot on it out at 1,000 yards it will read it. It will even tell you your arch for bow hunting.
