I have 3 of these in use right now. Right hand, Left hand, and vertical. I have replaced existing cam locks which requires drilling one 1/4 inch hole for mounting. I am using them on two drawers. I was able to fiddle with it to use on a three point metal cabinet lock (though this is not ideal). My only wish is that there were1. More lengths of lock housing2. Longer length of cam3. Better hooked camFor drawers this works well.I haven't tried it on a cabinet but if you install a catch for it properly it would likely work.I want to install it on a rolling tool chest but the cams aren't long enough and the hook cam they provide won't engage the tool chest well enough to hold it in place.Over all this has been a great blessing for my family. Just wish I could use it for more applications.

This lock is great. Feels very well made and was easy to install on a door with no previous lock. Batteries were still shrink wrapped and all parts were included, box was beat up and taped back together (ordered used one), not a problem. The function and interface is easy to learn in under a day, remembering all the programming codes may take longer. Installed indoors so can't review the IP55 rating. I wouldn't recommend installing where it would see water for very long. The back has no seal or gaskets just the pressure from screwing it to the door. Shouldn't be an issue for most but worth mentioning.I ordered a used unit through Amazon warehouse, and although I am keeping and love the lock I was sent the wrong one. I ordered the RH horizontal and was sent the vertical one. Not knocking any stars off for the item itself, but it should be noted.Overall nice product, easy to use, well made, and doesn't require a coin cell battery. If you need a lock of this type get this one, if you buy it used hope for the correct one.

I installed this product on my Cornwell Professional Series Tool cart. It took me 10min to install but I did have to custom make the hook latch that attaches to the lock assy. In all 30min job. Definitely should have read the programming instructions as step one. The lock works flawlessly. No more chance of being locked out of my tool box.
