SamsoniteWinfield 2 Hardside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels, Orange, 3-Piece Set (20/24/28)

Lightweight set of luggage which nests into one suitcase for storing all three pieces. Love the orange color with the black accent streaks. Took them on a cruise and they wheeled around nicely and seemed to hold up quite well. My wife thinks they hold more items as you can store things on each half the the suitcases. Had a few scuffs on them but I think they will buff out. Would by again. Bought them on Amazon Black Friday sale when they were 65% off list price. Good a great deal on them.

Nice color, great construction

Great luggage. You will never not see your bag come off of the baggage claim belt. The view isn't as harsh as it appears, and looks very nice coming out of the box. Once the luggage is used, however, it will become scuffed and will show wear. I find the bags to be very rugged as well. They can certainly take a beating. For storage you can put the small bag in to the bigger one, like nesting dolls which also helps cut down on space. I also purchased an extra one of the large size so my GF and I have a total of four of the bags. The wheels roll nicely, and the bags are easy to steer. The locking mechanism works well too, but it can take a minute to figure out how to get both zipper pieces to lock. Once you figure it out, it is easy. I have owned many Samsonite bags over the years, and these are by far my favorite. You can store tons of things in the large bag, but do beware you can go overweight easily. I have noticed that TSA seems to go through my bags more now that I have these. Not sure if that is because they stand out, or if it is due to extra security.

This luggage set lasted for about 10 years. Although still issuable, the large checked in pieces started falling apart, e.g. plastic covering and paint coming off, small cracks in the hard shell outer covering, etc. the wear tear was understandable given the amount of traveling we did during the time. We could still use the luggage but it is a little worn. The carry on piece is still in great shape! Well worth the money we spent.

Glad I invested in this luggage. The light weight and durability has been exactly what I was hoping. The bright color also helps me identify it, but the have sold quite a few so I've had to add some distinctive luggage tags and stickers and whatnot to keep me from taking someone else's bag by mistake.The pieces all nest together and are easy to handle to put away and store when not in use. The zippers have held up well and the locks seem to be fine for the security people to get thru, 12 countries so far and no issues. I've dragged these things through sand/gravel/tar/jungle/desert/swamp/floods, wheels still work, handles unbroken.They do show dirt quite well though, so if that's going to bother you probably go with a darker color. There's all kinds of rubber/blackness/etc always caked all over them from the airport baggage machinery.Doesn't bother me but just FYI.

Just returned from a 7 day Caribbean cruise on RCI. We bought a set of these for our daughter and son-in-law and they said they liked them very much so we bought a set for ourselves. They were packed to the max (held an enormous amount of stuff) and still maneuvered very well. Coming back we added seven glass bottles of spirits to the 28" wrapped in clothes. Could barely lift these things with the added weight and still they were easy to handle with the spinners and telescoping handles. I really like the clever zipper locks and the expandable compartments. Watched the unloading of all the ship's luggage from our 9th deck balcony when we returned and believe me it was not a gentle transition. These bad boys came out unscathed through all the things we and the baggage handlers put them through. They fit inside one another when ready to store which is a plus. We had zero issues with the zippers or wheels which is fortunate when some reviewers appeared to not have the same quality as the set we bought. It happens with any manufactured item I imagine. Would definitely recommend and we are going to buy an additional 28" for our next cruise.

I bought this set a couple months ago and have been on two trips with them so far, totalling 8 connections. As other reviews have stated, they do get scratched, but the scratches aren't terrible and the luggage still looks nice. The shell material is very thin and I'm not sure how durable it will be over time. It flexes with just the push of a finger if that's helpful. The maneuverability of them is great! I really wish there was a way to stack and secure the carry on on top of the checked bag while rolling it. Previous luggage sets that I've owned have this feature. With the exterior of this luggage being slick, it falls off very easily. The zippered divider inside the bag is very helpful to keep the two sides separated. I also really like that all of the luggage pieces fit inside of each other. It makes it very easy to store when not traveling. Overall, a good quality middle of the road set of luggage.Certainly not the Samsonite quality one would come to expect from the brand though. It's a shame to see brand degradation, but it's the world we live in now.
