ökocat Super Soft Natural Wood Clumping Litter, 14 lbs.

Surprisingly clumps cat urine very well. Our cat eats wet food and his poo stinks terribly. Only one cat litter controlled better and that was silica crystals, but they also absorbed urine which we didn't find clean. We've moved our cat box outside and invested in a cat flap, so will continue to use despite smell control. Hopefully this is sustainable wood?

É excelente no controlo de odores, e a nível de absorção, muito boa a aglomerar. Já experimentei pellets de outras marcas muito conceituadas, mas nada se compara à Okocat.

This stuff is the best!!!!!!!! I have two indoor cats and one of them is really a big guy. He weighs 18 pounds and he’s not overweight. He’s a beast. My other cat is normal. They both are long haired. Why does any of that matter? WELL LET ME TELL YOU we live in a really small 1 bedroom apartment and there are absolutely zero good places to put our box. At our old house, we kept it in the bathtub of our guest bath. This house, it’s under our dining room table. AND we only have one box! Yeah I know that’s pretty gross but there’s really no better options here and my cats are okay with sharing. This. Litter. Is. Amazing. You’d never be able to tell that we have two cats. This litter is super light weight and it works so well. No weird smell even when it gets wet. Clumps pretty well but I’m not too picky about clumping as long as something works. It is flushable and I have flushed it with no problem. I typically just scoop it into The paper grocery bags I save from shopping and throw it away with the yard waste. This litter lasts a really long time. I use one box a month and scoop daily. I empty the whole litter box about every 2 weeks. That would have been way too long with any other litter that I’ve tried. Which is literally every litter imaginable, natural and clay. This stuff is unscented and has very little dust, if any, which is great since I have asthma. Even the smell of cat pee can make me wheezy but I have no issues with this at all. It’s really light weight. I could throw the whole box across the room if I wanted to. With it being so light, there is some tracking but it’s not too bad at all. Nothing a broom can’t handle. Clay litter was way worse. It also doesn’t stick to my floor, the box, or to my cats fur or paws. I have nothing negative to say about this stuff. Not even anything neutral. 100000% great and worth it.

I have used this litter for nearly one year and it is just fantastic. Yes it tracks and yes you have to sweep once a day ( 2 cat home ) but that is nothing when you compare to the clay brands. This brand does not stink! if anything I catch whiffs of lumber, and I dont mind that at all. One of my cats paws cant handle the crappy clay litter brands, I spent a fortune ($50) on one bag of recycled paper pellets before finding this one and the pellets are THE WORST. You cant scoop and sift it, you cant tell which pellets are filled with urine etc. so I gave it away. The super soft wood in this product does not bother either of my cats paws. It is totally flushable! Just watch you dont drop a big bomb into the toilet or it may plug, but is easily cleared with a plunger ;) It does track but what litter doesnt ( or is perfect?) It lasts a long time, I use about 1 $30 box per month for 2 cats and 2 litter boxes!! I will never go back to that gross clay stuff that embeds and sticks in between the paw pads and in the paw fur (causing infection in my cats paw more than once, vet bills!) I honestly rate this 10 out of 10. Just buy a broom or vacuum the tracked stuff once a day and you will love it too :)

I love it. For sure. This is some of the best clumping litter there is. Note: The regular clumping variety (not the long-haired clumping variety here) works well too and is less expensive, but it tracks waaaaayyy more. If you have a long-haired cat, and you are tired of cleaning up scattered kitty litter all around your home, this is the perfect solution. If you really care about the environment, and/or your cat's health, read on. Here are some of the great things about this product: -- Great Odor Absorption: I have a great sense of smell, and a very small apartment, and I'm not a fan of the smell of cat feces in my kitchen. Wow, even when my cat doesn't bury it all the way, it still absorbs most of the smell! Happily surprised. -- Natural and "Eco-friendly": I would say "all-natural" but in truth I don't know what the clumping agent is. But compared to clay-based litters - which despite being "natural" are very damaging to the planet both during the mining process of the clay, as well as in the disposal after cat use, since it is in no way biodegradable - this litter is FAR SUPERIOR in terms of its environmental sustainability. -- Non-GMO: Even compared to other seemingly excellent "all-natural" cat litters, such as World's Best (which also have much stronger unpleasant odors than pine) this is STILL the BEST option for environmental sustainability, as it is not made from genetically modified or pesticide-treated crops, and therefore does not support that industry or expose your cat to pesticides. I used World's Best for a long time and was satisfied with its quality, but I refused to continue supporting companies like Monsanto by purchasing GMO corn in the form of cat litter, as the proliferation of GMO crops is a truly terrible practice, with intense social and environmental consequences that most people are unaware of. --Non-dust: As far as dust, many cats, especially older cats, can develop respiratory issues. Choosing a dust-free or low-dust litter - and cleaning your home regularly - can prevent these sorts of issues. --Low tracking: This litter tracks a little bit, but because the pellets are large, they are easy to clean up and don't make it onto the furniture, which is often the case with other litters. Very satisfied to have found a truly environmentally sustainable litter that works very well!
