Incredibly easy to install
I knew technology had come a long way, but I was still impressed by how easy this camera was to set up. Installation took only a few minutes. The camera attaches directly to the garage door opener with a very strong magnet, so there’s no complicated mounting process. Just stick it on, plug in the cable, and you’re basically done. Adding the device to the existing myQ app was also quick and straightforward. The video quality is good, and it’s nice being able to check on the garage anytime. Honestly, this is one of those products that makes you wonder, “Why didn’t I buy this sooner?”

Good camera for my garage while away for the winter
Worked great while away from our home during last winter. I was able to check the inside of the garage once a day remotely. It’s not 4k but it’s not advertised as such. Does a good job. Even at night.

Works great with Overhead Legacy garage door system!
The system works wonderful with my 18 year old Overhead Legacy garage door system. I installed myQ systems, one at my home and one at my daughters. I did receive a bad camera that would not connect bluetooth wise but other that that it connected flawlessly. FYI, I did have another issue connecting the camera to my iPhone but logged in on my spare phone that my grand baby uses and it connected no smoothly. On my iPhone it initially kept crashing the app when I would try to connect my phone to the camera, it was very strange. So if you are having issues with the app try it on your iPad tablet or someone else’s phone in your household. I wish I installed it years ago but I called my local Overhead distributer and they said myQ wouldn’t work with their systems which clearly wasn’t true. No more turning back around in my truck to see if I closed my garage waking up in the morning only to find out that I left my garage door open :-). I program it to close at a set time every night.

It's greatest value is as a garage camera, but...
We got this on sale. At 1/3 off... At that price it still seems too high, but it's not such a bad camera (clear daylight picture, "OK" night time) and software setup. It's best use is as a garage camera, but it could be used as a front porch camera, back patio camera, etc. so long as it's protected from the weather, has power, and is within wifi range. We already had MyQ-for-Amazon-deliveries setup in the garage, so we had an idea about what to do. Which wasn't much... Open the box, get all the parts out, follow the directions, get it working using the iPhone app, figure out the best spot... Done. Ten minutes? Your mileage may vary, but there isn't much to it. Just for curiosity, I carried it to different spots around and behind the house and it worked about the same. I put it back in the garage and tested it remotely and, yeah, you can see what's going on back at the house, and, like MyQ, you can remotely key the garage door open and closed - only this time you can SEE the door is up or down. The software on the iPhone was buggy, froze up, was slow, etc. - but I've yet to find a camera app that doesn't do the same thing. Overall an "OK" product that seems best to use it for what it's sold for, but I can see getting another - maybe two - to cover other areas of the house. That price has got to come down first, however. Still, for as easy as it was to set up and use, an extra $25.00 or so isn't awful. Now all it has to do it work for 10 years without being touched - like all our other cameras...

Easiest way to view inside your garage remotely!
One of the easiest tech to install ever. I already had a wifi garage door opener and MyQ app so it was so easy and quick I thought I skipped a step or two. Had a spare outlet by main garage door opener on ceiling and magnetic mount is super strong (see pics). No worry about camera falling off. Even if you route the plug one way so camera is upside down (like mine), there is a setting to flip the camera view 180 degrees. The green dot and MyQ logo is normally on top. Mine in picture is on bottom so had to reverse image. The sensitivity is adjustable but even on a low setting (lower 25%) it can see people and dogs walking on the sidewalk at end of the 30 ft driveway so I modified the sensing area to get less notifications. This worked so well I purchased another camera for the 3rd bay and now can see 75% of my 3 car garage. The automatic nightime setting can see our cars and objects in the garage with no lights. You can choose to turn off notifications when the garage doors are closed which I finally ended up doing. We still come and go loading and unloading cars with garage doors closed until ready to leave so that is nice. Got the prime day deal with 50% off cameras and video storage plan. Storage plan was $99 per year but got it for $49 per year AND it covers ALL cameras current and future! That's only $4 per month to store videos for up to 30 days. Even $8 per month for all camera video storage is a good deal I think. I did buy the optional bracket ($9?) thinking the 3rd bay camera would sit back further to get the area between far side of main garage and entire 3rd bay but the drywall covered ceiling beam has metal underneath and camera attached magnetically. Depending on what you want to cover, you may need the bracket to place camera further back to see more. The field of view is not 180 degrees but close enough and the outer edges curve some but the detail of the images and videos are excellent. The length of power cord is very generous and USB C adapter is included. BTW, if you don't have a wifi garage door opener, you can purchase an add-on for around $50. If you get one compatible with the MyQ app, you can have Amazon deliver to inside your garage for those deliveries you don't want to sit outside if expensive or when weather is questionable. I don't like anything electronic to sit on front porch when it is at or below freezing. Also, you can open your garage doors from anywhere in the world such as when service people need to be let in when you're not there or running late. You can also get a recording of when Amazon delivery person opens door and places item inside for extra peace of mind about deliveries that matter most.

Useless camera without a subscription plan
I hardly leave reviews but I felt that I had to warn others to stay away from this product. So all my home security cameras are from Eufy brand. They work great, great battery life and I was sold on the Eufy brand because of quality and more importantly the $0 subscription fee. I was looking to covert my garage door opener to a smart opener and this is how I ran into myQ. At the time Eufy didn’t have a smart garage door opener. I gotta say the myQ smart garage door opener works flawless, great app and UI. I’m pretty much happy with the product. After a few weeks of purchasing the myQ smart garage door opener, I realized it would be nice to have a camera that could easily mount on the garage door opener itself. Again Eufy didn’t have this type of camera at the time so I decided to go with the myQ camera. First of all, It is my fault that I didn’t read the product description thoroughly because I thought this camera came equipped with an inbuilt battery unit. After I received the product I quickly learned it was a corded unit and ONLY. This was somewhat of a bummer because I thought I was getting a good deal at the purchase price. Now looking at the price, I think the camera is way overpriced given that it is pretty much a lens encased in a plastic body. During installation, I decided to go ahead and use the camera since I had access to an outlet (garage door opener outlet). So far everything works very well as advertised. I receive notifications when motion is detected and other typical camera features. And I am a happy customer. After I ran out of the free trial (30 days or less), I quickly learned that I CANNOT use the basic functions of camera such as real time push notification when motion is detected. I have no way to check events detected by the camera. At this point it is pretty much a see through mirror. That is how frustrated I am. And out of principle, I wouldn’t pay a dime to this company to use basic features of a camera that is already overpriced. My best bet at this time is replace the camera with something else.

Camera with a clear picture, and works at night
We have several of these cameras, garage door opener, and the doorbell camera. They all work well together, but they are all the same brand. I do not know if they are compatible with other systems, or not. They all have a nice clear picture. Work at dark. Easily connects to our wifi, and they stay connected unless the electric goes out. The doorbell camera will work until the backup battery goes dead. Maintenance free so far. We have been very happy with our purchase. If you want storage in the cloud for a limited number of days then you have to buy a subscription, but if you just want live views then you do not need one.

Not the best quality. Wish there was SD card for some free video storage.
I have the same brand garage door opener and saw this on sale and sprung for it since it uses the same app. Decent quality camera, wants you to subscribe and no SD card slot so only live video is free. Seems stuck in “night” mode so it’s always black and white and kind of glitchy, don’t know why it’s supposed to auto change like it did for the first week when the lights are on. When I have my shop lights on it makes the image almost all white so not the best security cam. Mine is just for intermittent checks on garage so it’s alright.
