Wrath of Man (DVD)

Great movie and full of action. Great new faces as his crew - I have never seen in other movies. His revenge is acted out perfectly.

I love Jason Statham in this I am a fan of his. I enjoyed the movie very much. Some folks have said the ending was a disappointment. The ending tells you what it was all about and what and who he is working for. I would suggest folks watch it again knowing the ending and see things a little differently as you re-watch and how it all came together, and I was not expecting the end I thought WOW Enjoy

This may be the darkest film Guy Ritchie has made. It's a mix of heist film- the typical film he has made a ton of times now- but it's told in a way that's jumbled up.I found the organization of A to B storytelling the weakest part of the film. Mostly because there's a lot of time that passes in parts of the film that are out of order with other parts of the film so it's hard to tell what's going on some times. I don't need a film to be simple, but I just don't think this part of the narrative was done very well.There's great casting here, even Josh Hartnett reappears for some reason, looking older and not much like you remember him at all.Overall, I think the film is really interesting, and I really appreciated the action. Even though Statham is in this there is very little martial fighting- it's almost all gun play. Because of the modern social climate on guns maybe that's why there so many movies that focus more on fisticuffs, but it's nice to see a focus on it as the action from time to time. I don't know if this makes sense, of course there are movies with gun play all the time, but the focus in this movie is such that the action is more on gun play and I appreciated that.I think the only major problem I might have with this movie is that because of the way it's told it would be hard to watch it again because so much of the movie is setup and the last third is almost a completely different movie. It starts off a mystery, but by the last third reveal it's not even as much about Statham anymore as it was because there are so many yarns to unravel. It does it well, but rewatching it could be frustrating because you already know where it goes, and the way it's told it is not giving you clues along the way, or things that you might have missed, it just retells parts of the story from another angle so you get more of the mystery enlightened and so if you watched it again you'd have small elements at a time that could be aggravating to sit through again because you already know where it's going to go.That's a nit pick, and probably meaningless to most people. Anyway, it's so strange that Guy Ritchie made that Aladdin movie he made- that was really really bad- but at least it lead to him being able to do real movies again. I've liked his output since.I have a hard time writing positive reviews a lot of the time. I don't like to gush, but when a movie is well made there's not much to say beyond that. Just know this movie goes really dark, and by the end nobody really wins. There's a clear influence from The Departed in that aspect.

Guy Ritchie never disappoints! Not sure what else to say without giving any of thr movie away. JUST BUY IT, YOU WILL LOVE IT!

I like Jason Statham movies. His movies always keep you on the edge of your seat.In this movie he was the bad guy that you rooted for.
