Pleasantly surprised with the quality of these fittings. I was really worried that they would be poor quality or would leak. They are designed to be used without a clamp so I thought they would either be too hard to install or would leak since my line runs at 55psi. It was helpful to leave the line in the sun to soften the material before installing the connector, but a hairdrier or heat gun would also work just as well. My lines are routed through gardens on surface so I can see that they are not leaking and did not break after 1 summer of UV exposure. 10/10 would buy again.

I was pleased with this connector! I was using another type at the same time and this one was far easier to connect. It was concerning that as easy as it went on, it might slip off. But, it's like a Chinese puzzle...once on, it locks in place. I really tried to pull it off, and though you can eventually...it takes a LOT of effort. Nice product.

Worked great on a standard drip hose. It is really difficulty to push it all the way in though. I would highly advise spraying the pieces with a silicone lube before trying to install; it made it a lot easier.

I used one of these to repair a drip line that had split open. I cut out that bad part of the drip line and installed the coupling and then turned the water on to test the connection. Unfortunately the coupling leaks. I'll try adding some hose clamps to see if I can stop the leaks.

I ordered this 18 Pieces Drip Irrigation 1/2" Tubing Elbow Fittings assuming it was what it said, Elbow Fittings. The supporting picture was of the item I wanted, Elbow Fittings. I received an "assortment" of fittings and only 4 of the elbows I expected.

Genuine Rain Bird has an inside diameter of 11 mm, these are 10mm and much less substantial. That's about a 10% smaller hole for the water to pass through. The overall size is much smaller too. If your line is short that's probably not an issue, but it's not good with very long lines with many connectors. It's impossible to tell from the photos, but these are nothing like genuine Rain Bird connectors. If they stated the inside diameter somewhere I would not have purchased these. For a little more $$ I would have gladly purchased the real deal. I only hope these are UV stabilized plastic or there will be a future disaster heading my way.

Fittings leak with standard 1/2” tubing. 50/50 chance it will leak.
