My cats get their hair cut 2-3 times a year. After a hair cut they get cold. I added a PetSmart pet warmer in the back upright position to hold the top up from collapsing. This keeps the top up and my cat warm. A cats normal temp is 102 degrees. I did buy the PetSmart warmer on Amazon 2-3 yrs ago. I can't find a link to it. It is most likely out of stock.Another way to keep the top up, is to use shipping cardboard. Cut oblong and trim to fit snug up against the back of the bed. My cat can now jump up into the bed. I really don't know what people were complaining about. The top zips off if your kitten doesn't like it. It's like a kitty cave, and the second I unwrapped it out of the box, my kitten had to jump in and took a nap. This bed is great! There is an inch of a thick base, which my kitten was snuggled up just fine. I would buy another one if I didn't already have five!

Decent bed for the price, seems well made. Bottom is not super squishy but a soft blanket or towel fixes that. The top does droop down, a pool noodle cut in half holds it up fine without taking away much space (bend in a semi-circle like propping up a tent). Nice velour fabric inside and subtle, soft colour scheme. satisfied.

I love this bed! But my cat does not. She used it twice and now will not go near it. I think it's a bit big for her.
