Hi! If I turn the resistance knob down to zero, will it be easier than the 8lb? Thanks

If you turn the knob down to zero on the 12 pound version then you can spin it with no resistance but you still need to contend with the 12 pound weight of the device. The 12 pound version would be a little more difficult given the extra weight but you will be able to spin it freely with no resistance like the 8 pound version.

How much resistance/ torque does this actually have? I have it cranked up and it feels like it's barely adding anything. Want to check it's not broken

Hi, Steven, please turn the adjust knob clockwise continuously until you feel resistance, it might take some more circles. The final torque can be like handling one of the bars in any direction, the equipment is not falling down.

Can this work triceps?
