shockingly good stuff
The 3/16" Sgt Knots bungee cord arrived quickly and in perfect shape. It came in a study bag with a printed label that has all the pertinent information. (I wish the bag had been a reclosable ziplock-style ready for long term organized storage in my tub with rope, cords, bungees, and cables. Not a biggie. I'll use the label on one of my own 4-mil zip bags.) The bungee cord seems to be very good quality. Good stretch and quality feel to the covering. Covering does not unravel when cut, and it's easy to burn-seal the ends after cutting. In the bag, there is a slight odor, but that's to be expected in a 50' coil of a rubber product. In the pieces I've cut, once they've been out of the bag for a short while, it's pretty much undetectable, even indoors. Since I've had this product only a couple days, I can't speak to longevity and durability, but my confidence is up based on what I've seen so far. I've tested for slippage with a few cord locks. In general grip was adequate and about average, definitely better than on the paracord I tried with the same cord locks. (BUT... there is one cord lock I just got that has outstanding grip on this DiamondGrip cord -- the unique-looking Paracord Planet springless double-bow dual hole. Serious grip! https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CT3WRBQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) I don't know what I was thinking, but I underestimated the thickness of 3/16". I was looking for something to use in my hiking boots and trail running shoes that has firmer stretch than the 1/8" bungee laces kit I've been using. Love the firmness of the 3/16" but, unfortunately, it's too big for the loops and holes in my shoes. No matter, I've got plenty of other uses in mind for 3/16". I've already replaced the drawstring in my Cabelas fleece sweatpants. It's perfect for that. This is good stuff; I recommend it!

Great Bungee
I volunteer at a local county park where we store outrigger canoes on a boat rack. Cut a length, tie a knot. Pull it over the boat and it makes a great tie down to hold the boats in place. Used it for two years which included two hurricanes. No problems. Still tight and no deterioration in the Florida sun.

Great Product
The cord is great. It's the 2nd time I've ordered this product and was very pleased with how well it lasted in the Florida sun and humidity. I had some cord left over from the 50' roll I bought the last time I ordered but I needed "exactly" 10' more. So I placed an order for 10'. Problem is my 10' turned out to be 9' 5" . I know it sounds like I'm knitt picking but in order to complete my project I really needed the 10'. I'm really surprised at this company that they feel they have to short change their customers and inch or two here and there to save a buck or two. If anything I would have expected that they give you an extra inch or two of cord. Like I said the cord works great but was very disappointed with what I received.

excellent all around bungee
Best value for the $$. We have used this bungee for over 3 years ( buy 500 ft spools 3-4x a year ) * holds its elasticity, we use it in saltwater and it's held up perfectly. * has not faded badly from the sun and saltwater * true to size * holds up very well despite it being priced 30-40 % lower than other brands of this same diameter.

There's Nothing Like Good Shock Cord to Install Shade Cloth
I used this 1/4" shock cord to install two large custom shade cloths (7' x 11' and 20' by 22') over my mother-in-law's Anthurium growing area. The cord is thin but is extremely strong, ties into a nice knot and cuts easily with sharp diagonal cutters. I ran anchors in the wall every 2' to match the grommets in the shade cloth and then ran the cord through each grommet and tied two knots in one end so it wouldn't pull back through. Then each was stretched to the right length and tightness through the anchor, tied off, and trimmed neatly (at the end, once everything was suspended properly). It is easy to untie this cord and go back if adjustments in lengh are needed. With this pro grade cord, the shade cloth is evenly supported and will withstand high winds because it will give as needed and absorb the shock throughout the entire surface area. With the leftover cord, I helped my neighbor secure a new tarp over a 1946 jeep he just bought to restore, knowing that elastic cord does a far superior job than rope when it comes to securing tarps against the wind.

Long lasting.
I use this cord for tying up cables, holding garbage bags in place, shoelaces. It holds up great and has a rough texture so it doesnโt slide.

Works on Coleman tent poles
I have a 10yr old Coleman sundome 6 person tent in great condition except the shock cord has failed. Replacing the shock cord took 15min per pole. Cut the cord to be 60% the length of the assembled poles and this provided sufficient tension. Product seems to be very high quality and was easy to work with.

Poor quality
Found the material to be of poor quality and expect to have to replace it again within 12 months. Looks lime the cord was already aged and had poor elastic capability.

Way better than the hardware store stuff
Very good quality stuff, lots of stretch and has lasted a long time outdoors, would buy again in a heartbeat but this stuff doesnโt fail like the others.

Very strong. Diamond grip. Everything that I have ordered from Sgt Knots has been top quality
If you want something that pulls easily, this is not for you. If you want something that is strong and will hold articles in place, this is definitely suitable.

Not Too Shabby
The diamond texture does a great job holding knots tight. I don't think twice about them coming undone. Mainly used to hang a Double-end Bag for boxing. The elasticity doesn't seem to be degrading with cold and hot temperature fluctuation. Good buy for the price I got them at.
