Wonderful book--full of whimsy!
After loving the ideas in Copely's first book, Everyday Bento, I couldn't wait for the release of FRESH BENTO. I preordered it... and just sat counting the days! It arrived--and I dove right in. You'll find so many delicious lunches presented with whimsy and artistic flair... certain to tempt picky eaters and get kids interested in cooking (or at least in eating their lunches). Fun to look at. I bought it as a gift for my daughters-in-law as well, whose three little girls will soon be needing school lunches! Beautiful photography, too.

Packed with Great Ideas
Wendy Copley’s second book is another hit. The bento ideas are organized by letters, numbers, and colors and will be great for doing Grandma or Grandpa projects with food. The cute ideas are simple enough for all ages regardless of artistic talents. You will get lots of inspiration for convincing little ones to try tasty and healthy foods while having fun together. I bought extra copies to give to my new Grandma friends!

Competitive Mothering
This book will tell you how to make your child a Japanese bento lunch. Because if you want to enter the arena of competitive motherhood you have to do it right. There are sandwich molds, rice ball makers and little cartoon toothpicks to put in kiwi pieces. Do not use this if there is an actual Japanese child in your child's class because that Mom will kick your butt.

Wonderful photography and a great theme.
Loved this book. First, the photography is wonderful. All the colors, shapes, and shades! Second, loved the number and alphabet theme. What a great teaching tool along with fun and nutritious lunches. Learned about some new fruits and vegetables as well. Bought several copies to give as gifts. Thanks Wendy, keep inventing those great Bentos.

Lunch packing life saver!
This book was released just in time for our return to in-person school and regular lunch packing again. As soon as it arrived, my 6yo son and I sat down to read it and we spent at least an hour going through it! This book has bentos based on the alphabet, numbers, and colors - plenty to choose from. My son is learning to read and really enjoyed figuring out how each part of the lunch fit into its theme. I also really appreciated all of the "substitutions" the author provides for elements in the box that you may not have on hand, or your kids are not fans of eating. The book is good quality and the layout is fun, appealing, and easy to navigate. Thank you!

Lunchbox Learning
I preordered Wendy Copley Bento Box book because I enjoyed the first one so much. I was very excited when it arrived in my mailbox. I was even more excited when I realized it tied early learning into lunch! As a teacher, I love the idea of tying the letter or color of the day into lunch. It is a great way to spark great conversations that help children learn. The ideas were cute and the lunches are something that children will eat! I highly recommend getting this book and making your kids yummy lunch that will help them learn!
