I am an OLD FASHIONED "Mix" 'snob'. There was only ONE syrup for me--and then PROOF forced me to try others syrups--after they had fufillment issues-two times. LAVA syrup is the ONLY one to come close to a smooth and balanced OF-not overly sweet or overly spiced.. My only complaint is that it is, perhaps, slightly heavy on the 'cherry' flavor --yet the orange oils come thru nicely on the finish. And the added bonus---LAVA is less expensive --by 1/2!

Absolutely love this Lava old fashioned mix.

First of all, I absolutely love this Old Fashioned syrup. It is really flavorful, easy to use, and the hint of maraschino cherries is fantastic. Don't forget to shake your bottle because the best stuff settles in the bottle. Speaking of bottle, that's where I have my gripe. Recently, shipping has become an issue. This last order arrived via USPS rather than amazon and was completely broken, with all the liquid drained, and (most depressingly) not eligible for refund or replacement even though I tried to lodge that complaint the same day I received it! I'll order again, but fingers crossed the shipment issues stop.

I really enjoy this flavor (it’s a little sweeter than most - which i prefer). I can mix it with different bourbons and it always comes out amazing. I had an issue with one of the bottle I ordered (the spice old fashion was send instead of the regular), and the customer service was fantastic. Of course after trying the spice, I just might order it every so often as it has good flavor and a kick!!

Since the bottle I received was sticky on the outside and had a very pungent flavor, it is believed that the cold temperatures may have compromised the product prior to my receiving it. They have issued a full refund and I expect that I will give them a try again in the future. Thanks!Original Review:I ran out of my normal proof syrup and decided to give Lava a try. It honestly tasted like it was only orange bitters. It just wasn't for me. Down the drain it went.

I love an Old Fashioned as much as anyone. I searched for the right mixer for my taste. Tried a few others with less than favorable flavors but LAVA is perfect for my palette. I have used it with multiple whiskeys including Rye and Scotch and it works well with all of them. LAVA has the perfect notes without anything overpowering.Note: You may want to order direct from the LAVA website. They do a much better job of packaging than Amazon for safe arrival. It cost a little bit for shipping but you will see why. 50% of my orders from Amazon were broken but LAVA happily sent me another that was packaged properly for shipment. Excellent customer service. I am a fan.

This is the best old fashioned mix on the market. I make drinks with it all the time for friends and they all cannot believe its not professionally made from a bartender. Love it!
