Works Great
This tool does not get used often, but is the perfect tool to remove bathtub drains without causing damage to the drain. Easy to use. Worth the money spent

Worked perfectly
My house is over 30 years old and I had been seeing a leak in the dining room ceiling that I knew was coming from the master bathroom over it. I finally found that the leak was coming from the shower and a large rubber gasket that had finally worn after 30+ years of stepping into and out of the shower. As the bathtub seals were also the same age I decided to replace those too. This tool is what helped me to unscrew the drain so that I would replace those seals. It fit and worked perfectly without damaging anything.

You may need to modify this tool…
**** Update: Seller refunded the charge. Not asked for, but appreciated. And the tool DID work with the mods shown below. Moved them up to 4 stars. Worked well but only after some modifications. The wrench wanted to pop off this old fixture rather than turn the drain piece, until I took a file and made the cross-hatch on the tool sit deeper and a bit wider. See photos. If you have a more modern fixture it may not need this mod. 1st photo: before. Second photo: after.

Aluminum is better than pot metal
Works as advertised, but if your drain is damaged or severely stuck, you're better off with a very heavy duty tool. this is one step up from pot metal. Steel would be one step up from aluminum. this is the best inexpensive version for standard use.

Great Tool to have around
Ordered this to replace one drain that had rust and damage. Not a contractor using this every day. For my use, it was great. Heavy duty but it is aluminum so not super heavy. I really had to crank on it to get the old drain out and it held up perfectly. For the price, worth the order to have in the garage if needed

Highly recommend it!
I had 1 that I was pretty sure that this thing would work on. I got lucky on the 2nd one that no longer has the inner cross. Huge relief to have such a great working tool!

Worked like a charm to get my old drain out that wasn’t working well. Just stuck a sturdy screw driver through the hole for leverage and came out easy peasy.

Heavy duty and worked great.

I had to drill and deepen the center hole on the small side to fit properly on my tub drain. If you aren't handy or don't have access to a drill you may have a challenge with this. This might not be an issue depending on the style of your drains.
