Avoid these at all costs.
I wish I would've read a few of the reviews before buying these. But I would say to STAY FAR AWAY from these. They literally make your sticks stop at times to where you can't even move. Go with the foam Kontrol Freaks if you want any help with precision on your aiming.

Works but.....
These rings work on my Steam Deck but they just don't perform as smoothly as foam rings. For the price, I would say that you should buy foam rings instead and while foam can and does wear out they aren't very expensive to replace.

got for my Deck, soft works nicely, medium and hard are unusable, iffy with joystick caps
This works as advertised, mostly. When attached, it provides resistance that makes the stick feel tighter and easier to control. It also reduces and almost eliminates the Deck's sticks' tendency to snap past center and register the opposite direction when released, which is something I was hoping would be the case. I've found that only the soft/black ring is usable. It provides fairly noticeable resistance but not so much that it's difficult to move the stick quickly or fully in any direction. Medium/grey and hard/white are both, provide so much resistance that the stick is effectively unusable, especially with caps attached (which feel like they'll be pushed off if I try to hard). Which is one of the problems with all of them, they don't work nicely with caps. They do work, I have rings and caps on right now (both by PlayVital), but it takes a lot more work to get the caps on properly because the rings get in the way, which is unavoidable because the rings must be put on first. If they come off, which feels like it might be more likely with the rings, then I'm facing more frustration putting them back on. Another problem is that I'm not sure how well they'll work on other controllers. With the black rings used on my Deck, which is where they'll stay since the others are unusable, I gave the grey and white rings a try on on my PS4 controller. They completely fill the space between the stick top and the controller shell, and both make the stick literally impossible to use. The stick is held so tightly in place that it's almost impossible to move it even slightly away from center. They might work better with Xbox controllers, but I lack one. I think the grey and white rings were just wasted material. Even on the Deck, where they kinda work, I couldn't see myself using them due to the effort it takes. It's a shame that the soft rings are black because they completely hide the white sticks under the cap, I think this pack would be generally more useful if all three pairs were soft but just in different shades for cosmetic options. It may seem harsh, but I think it's fair to knock off a star if 2/3 of a product is unusable, even if 1/3 works great. I also think it would be convenient if these were combined with the caps, so the bottom of the caps (the part that wraps around the tops of the sticks) extends into a ring. So you get the texture and extended cap and resistance ring in a single, easier-to-install package. Though this would mean either offering fewer options so the price can be kept reasonable or offering many combinations of stick heights and textures combined with rings. Maybe the caps just need a better design so they're easier to install...

Great for FPS Players
Consider these "training wheels" when it comes to utilizing your controller on precision first person shooters (such as Cold War, Halo, Fortnite). It dampens your movement in such a way that allows you to not over-shoot (or over-steer) your target. They are easy to put on and off, and come in a variety of tensions for you to find your liking. It's a great product for people who need the extra help in an FPS game.

Dont really help anything
Well they felt ok on my controller, except i mechanically didnt feel any benifits moving the stick compared to my Kontrol Freek stick caps.

Really improved my aim
I like the set. I was able to find the the right tension for my thumb triggers, which really improved my aim in games like God of War.
