Can I simply attach de film paper on to led light and how to best go about it?

I attach the diffusion film to the barn doors with small bulldog clips, strong clothes pegs would also be suitable. I would not recommend attaching it directly to the LED panel, mostly due to the possible fire risk, but also because the diffusion would not be so effective.
