My 10 year old and I read this after our dog of 14 years passed. We like it - it was just hard to get through without tearing up.

We recently lost 2 of our older dogs this year and our daughter loves when we read to her. Out of 2 books we bought for her, I liked this one more. I think I saw they have another book for when you loose a loved family member, so I will most likely be buying that one too.

We used this book to tell our daughters that our dog was dying and it was so difficult to read at parts. It is beautifully written, but due to my emotional state at the time of reading it, I kept breaking down and crying. It really is a wonderful book, but was hard for me to read when trying to explain to a 2 and 5 year old that their dog is dying and won't be around soon.

It’s a beautiful story about always staying connected to your beloved pet. As a principal, I would keep this book in my office and if a student shared that they had lost their pet then I would have them write their pet’s name in the inside cover and I would keep it in my office kind of like a memory for them And their pet. Also, another great idea when my friend lost her dog. I gave her the book and wrote on the inside of the book cover.

got this for my kids when we lost our Dog Skoota whom is now chasing Rainbows we brought 2 plush dogs that look like him and this book they where a bit younge to fully understand but the magiv of the book is still with them as i told them the stirng is magic you cant see it but its there

Have gotten this book a few times for friends who have lost furry family members. They have all loved it - story is great for kids as well and helped my own kids with grieving the loss of our pup.

family pet was dying, so I raced to get a few books about this for our little one to help process it. this story wasnt the best of help, but as a follow on from the invisible string I hoped it might lend a hand at the process, but it didnt with our little one.

Great book to help little ones understand/cope with the loss of a pet - and an easy way for kids to understand the concept of life after death. We reference this book often when talking of our departed pets and family members.
