Bulk Protein Rocky Road, Milk Chocolate, 72 g, Pack of 12

These are really good quality protein bars and not difficult to stomach. You can definitely taste the dark chocolate as they're almost bitter rather than sweet but they definitely hit the sweet spot rather than gorging on chocolate. Well packaged and a good size, they're actually very filling! Good price given that most protein bars are £2-3 a bar

These were rather dry - definitely needed a bew with them! But a nice change from the rather expensive mainstream brands. I wouldn't have known there was a protein element - it did taste like rocky Road so would re-buy

Rocky Road is one of my favourite type of biscuits so I was looking forward to trying these. They are made by a company called Bulk who make sports nutrition and this Rocky Road bar contains 20g of protein.You get 12 bars in the box and when I first got them I was surprised at how heavy the bars were. They felt like they really were part of a road making, rocky or otherwise, process! I had noticed previous reviews saying that they were quite dry so I was warned. I managed, with some effort, to cut them up into more manageable pieces but even then there was no way I was able to eat them without fearing for my teeth as they are incredibly hard. In the end I resorted to dunking them in hot chocolate to make them softer. Despite all of this, I actually loved the taste.Taste wise these bars are worth five stars but in terms of eatability it would be zero stars. I think the price is okay so I will give them three stars as an average, if you have strong teeth you probably won’t have such a drama but mine are quite weak so I didn't want to take any chances! Such a shame as the taste is so good,

First impressions were good, the bars arrived in a branded box and are individually foil wrapped for freshness.The bars are reasonably hard and brittle so are very crunchy when you bite into them. They taste like a milk chocolate biscuit and don’t have any unpleasant after taste which for me is rare with protein bars! I do find them a little dry though so they’re best enjoyed with a drink, I find coffee the prefect compliment.Overall I’ve really enjoyed these bars, they taste amazing and are very moorish. I don’t feel like I’m eating a protein bar, more like a tasty treat. I’d therefore happily recommend them, 5 stars from me!

The media could not be loaded.  These Bulk protein snacks are great. They taste like a crispy milk chocolate rocky road. It's not as potent as some others and has a mild aftertaste. A little messy with crumbs albeit. It's like a large chunky rice crispy type of bar. I occasionally have it as a snack during the day or as a pre/post workout snack. I like how light it is on the stomach, as opposed to many other protein bars I've tried, which are a little too filling and sometimes cause bloating.

My wife and I are trying to lose weight so we thought that this type of snack instead of a lunch might help. I wasn't sure how a chocolate protein bar would taste but I'm glad I ordered these as they taste gorgeous.On opening, this comes as a display type of box containing twelve of the rocky road protein bars. Each bar is individually wrapped to keep the freshness in and the wrappers are easy to just tear open to access the gorgeous chocolate bar.My wife and I had one of these each yesterday for lunch and surprisingly we both felt quite full afterwards. Love the normal rocky road bars and these protein bars are very similar in texture and flavour to the normal types. These have a range of textures as we chewed them from crunchy through to soft and squishy which keeps the eating of these interesting.The flavour from the bar is very chocolaty and really quite strong, we both love them and plan on continuing to have these instead of a lunch.I don't know very much about the energy ratings and sugars etc' so I have put a photo on of the wrapper which shows those values for those in the know to read.Overall, these are gorgeous rocky road bars that come well presented.Recommended.

These are tasty - good amount of protein.But they are solid - it's like biting into a rock - super hard and very very dryAlso I think they are a little pricey at £25 for 12
