Best in the world.

As expected, Festool is better than anything you rent at the big box store. I did about 6,000 sqft of popcorn ceiling removal in a week. Even with the Festool HEPA vac, it’s still messy, but this thing makes quick work.

This machine speeds up the work and the finish is very good, I love what Festool makes.

I used to think I was really good at skim coating. I’ve had guys come behind me and paint cause they thought it was already sanded. Now I can see every tiny flaw bright as day because of the light. It is a perfectly designed light to show all your flaws. It will hurt your feelingsThe suction power is amazing. When in ceiling mode you can actually let go and it will be stuck to the ceiling.The dust collection is amazing as well. Paired with the Festool DC 36 the auto off and on is pretty cool. I have confidence sanding over any furniture and the life without having to worry about a mess.Learn the tool. It gets better as you get better. Find what speed, settings and grit work best for you and. Practice your motions. Like I said the tool improves as you improve.Not very helpful for sanding corners but I think that’s pretty obvious. Edges aren’t terrible the vacuum edge gets in the way sometimes but there is no other way to design it to eliminate this. I will take the excellent suction over this minor inconvenience.

The package was damaged also the box was broken but machine is ok. That’s how I received it!. The only reason I am not returning it is because I need this machine asap to do the project.

I don't have the skill to make a perfect skim coat finish without sanding. This tool allows me to get professional looking results very quickly and with almost no dust. It generally takes me more time to sponge sand in the corners then to do the walls of an entire room with the Planex. The light on the sander lets you see imperfections that you will never see under normal conditions. I've read about issues with the sanding pad. I find that I rarely sand above 1-2 power settings with 180 grit disks as anything more aggressive is removing material too fast for me to keep up with. I've had no issues with the sanding pad so far. I do think that the pad is not flat enough due to the plastic retainer screws. They create a large dimple in the pad that telegraphs to the sanding disk. I find that the curved pad's effect on the sanding performance is minimal but could be improved. The overall design and quality is still superb and I would recommend this sander to anyone who's time is valuable.

This is one of the Festool products I never thought I would own but after buying a ct36ac last year and having a drywall repair on my kitchen ceiling as well as some up coming wall paper removals I figured it was worth the cost. I tackled the ceiling repair first and wow! Just a pleasure to use. It truly makes drywall sanding fun. The amount of suction that the head has is incredible, it can hold its own weight with out support against the ceiling! My repair was about 30-40 square feet, 2 coats of mud and 3 sandings. I could not find one speck of dust anywhere.
