This is a wonderful tool. It is a little beast. Not a toy. I bought this chainsaw to use as I was rehabbing from reverse right shoulder replacement surgery. I am a wood fire potter, and I also heat my home with a woodstove. All together, I use about 12 full cords (not face cords or "ricks", Full Cord = 4×4×8 ft.). 100% mixed hardwood (maple, beech, ironwood, cherry). I needed to keep up with sourcing and stacking wood. The saw is well designed with a sturdy wrap-around handle that is easy to grip with either hand. It comes with 3 chains, and you need to keep them sharp. Changing chains, cleaning the bar and gear is easy, as is putting on a new chain and adjusting the tension. It comes with one tool (big enough to do the job and easy to see if you drop it) that firmly snaps into a holder on the bottom, out of the way. Filling the oil reservoir is easy. The saw is well balanced for use with either hand, and there are multiple places to grab and support with the other hand. At first I was using it left handed with minimal assistance from my right hand/arm. It did great. I can't say how long a battery charge lasted, but it was at least 45 min. of continual operation, cutting hard maple, cherry, ironwood and beech. I bought 3 batteries, and a charger. My cordless drill uses the same batteries and I already had one charger. Batteries for this tool are offered by many different manufacturers, and they are not all equal. I learned not to try to save $ on batteries. Invest in the quality ones. It is a drag to be out in the woods and run out of power. Always have extras. And for the wood kiln 80% Maple, Oak, Cherry, and 20% (by volume) pine and spruce. I source and prep my own wood. I have two larger electric chainsaws that I could not use for awhile after surgery because of the weight restrictions. This saw handled cutting hardwood branches and logs from 3" to 8" in diameter with ease. It would probably do fine with 10". I saved those for my 16" or 18" saw. Cutting ability: Very good. Value for money: Great. Power: I'd say it has about 2/3rds the power of a gas powered chainsaw. Much cleaner, less hassle, less noise. Gets the job done.

Nice saw for pruning. Not too heavy but perfect for the kind of pruning we are going to do this year. Sturdy and just the right size. It's easy to hold when it's running and working.

Great acquisition for the m12 tool arsenal. Works flawlessly, cutting thru tick branches easily. The only upgrade I would suggest to Milwaukee would be to re-design the safety latch that needs to be pushed at the same time with the trigger to avoid accidentally turning the saw to a more-confortable position. After prolonged use, you can really feel your hand muscles fatigued.
