D YEDEMC Mini-Pro 1310/1550nm SM OTDR Mulit-Function Tester Built in OPM/OLS / RJ45 Test/VFL Test Rang 5m-60Km Dynamic Range 24dB/22dB Connector APC (YD-3000-APC)

Hi I bought the YD-3000-APC which is an exellent tool to measure fiber optic from the Hub to terminal I work for a utility company that provides fiber internet to homes and the whole plant uses APC and other vendors only offer otdrs with UPC but an adapter could be used but this one I can connect direct to my Apc drops and jumpers and measure very accurately most of my length is not past 2 miles. I wish I had bought the YD-3000-1610 Apc hope this vendor puts more for sale with the Apc adapter please put more for sale I would like to get one because it says it does live fiber testing and the YD-3000-Apc only measures on dry fiber using 1550 or .over all I would recommend this otdr works great. I wish I could contact the vendor to ask them to put more YD-3000-1610 -Apc meter with APC adapter for sale.

So far it's been working great. VLF light is bright makes the end caps of the fiber glow making it easier to find in a bundle. OTDR feature is good enough. Results where not too far off when compared to a more expensive unit during short distances. Light meter function is better than my dedicated unit just on the fact that this has an internal battery, readings are similar to more expensive units. Ethernet cable tester also works with no issues.

Does the job. It’s not a Fluke but it’s a nice cheap option to help me quickly verify my tips, splices or trouble shoot. Like most OTDRs not the easiest to use

This pocket size OTDR has been a game changer! It is compact and comes with a pouch that is easy to carry around. The OTDR functionality is very accurate and I can easily spot damages and lengths on the fiber. Highly recommend to any fiber tech.

Excellent for field technicians

OTDR, this unit is awesome. I do I&M and this is a fantastic tool to have. Unsure which port to use at an fdt, use the vfl and put your comfy shoes on and walk to the far end. I think not. I can pick not only the longest fiber but the one with the least loss. A recipe for success. I did have an issue with my original unit. The friends at YEDEMC promptly addressed my issue with a free direct return and a brand new unit. Completely satisfied. Thank you!
