I will save you all money; here is a summary that covers well the depth and breadth of this book's content: "FASTING IN MODERATION IS HEALTHY."The only science cited in this book are the same tired old studies of yesteryear.As someone in need of concrete information, I was hoping this book would offer some guidance on the real questions relevant to someone fighting terminal, chronic disease for whom fasting may be the most powerful tool available.> Is a 48 hour fast more effective than a 24 hour fast? How much more?> Is a 5-day fast more effective than a 48 hour fast? How much more? OR... is a 5-day fast unnecessary punishment that's marginally more beneficial, and would back to back 48 hour fasts separated by a day be much more beneficial?> What do actual immune system measurements show? Where is the data?Having finished this book, I'd say it was as informative as a book written about "how to drink a glass of water" rather than "how to water fast." (We KNOW not to water fast if we have severe type 2 diabetes. We KNOW any calories will break a fast. We do not need to be told this.)

Very informative
Very informative! I am following what I learned in this book and it is working well! I’ve lost 3 inches from my waist and 5 inches from my hips in 3 months. And I don’t feel deprived at all. This is the healthiest I have felt in a long time. I am so glad I learned about fasting!

Quick, informative & safe
I really liked this book and how clear it was for the everyday person. Not everyone wants to read a bunch of scientific studies and really, this has been around for centuries so do we really need new science on this? I also appreciate the way the author pointed out the safest way to water fast and to build up to the longer term fasting. Good job!

Most comprehensive book on Water Fasting I have ever read by miles!
I purchased the audio book and was delighted to find that it was "over the top" comprehensive regarding any medical concerns. Though I am not worried in the slightest about them nor am I new to water fasting.Water Fasting is safe and incredible and this book will allay any fears you have while pointing out anything that might be important for you to know and investigate prior to fasting.I have been water fasting for 50 years. My average fast is 18-23 days. I now water fast 36 hours every week - 1.5 days straight - it is very easy to do and easily done with a full workload (I fast from Monday when I go to sleep until 36 hours later - Wednesday morning).

Lots of great info in this book, just what I was hoping to learn about water fasting as I embark on my first fastI so appreciated all of the valuable info & now feel more confident going into my fast & hope to make this a regular part of my life

A well written and super light read for everyone
A really well written and researched book. Kate did a great job in explaining things simply which made it a very light and fast read.I enjoyed every part of it and just discarded the parts that wouldn’t apply to me as I follow a plant based diet and don’t take chemical prescription but only natural medicine.I’ve just finished a 3 days water fast and it was pretty ok, much better than I thought I woukd handle it, but I think because I did prepare well 2 weeks prior and even went for long walks during the fasting but of course I felt quite weak but once breathing fresh air and seeing the amazing sunsets, it boosted me up a bit.I’m planing to do regular fasting, maybe once a week do a 24 hrs one and perhaps every few months if so do a long one, it’d be great if I could extend it to 5 days next time, but I will have to see how I’m able to handle to it.Overall I highly recommend this book to everyone and also to give it a try on water fasting. After all what what is there to lose? Nothing but great benefits to gain from it.

Motivated to start my water fasting in 2021!
At first I was sceptical about what this book 'promises', but after reading it, I see the author is extremely knowledgeable in this field as well as has a broad knowledge in intermittent fasting. One of the best things about this book is that it is full of practical information about water fasting, as the title indicates which I am extremely motivated to start implementing. Highly recommend this book if you are on the same path!

Very practical
I have been on my fasting journey for some time now and I was interested in starting water fasting, this book has been extremely practical in helping me begin water fasting and I am really happy with the results.

Really great book on fasting
This book is wonderful, it gives you all the information you will need on how to do an extended fast (between 7 and 14 days).Also discusses who is and is not suitable for the fast. Well done Kate!
