Pleasantly Surprised!
This little thing packs quite the punch. I was skeptical at first and reluctant to purchase it, but I knew if I bought it and hated it, Amazon would take it back. I have this installed on the package shelf of my 2000 Mazda Miata and it thumps with the top down. Now, you’re not going to win your local bass off at the local Walmart, but it will absolutely fill that tiny bass void you’ve been missing. Install was easy, you can mount it or just let it rattle around the back, under the seat, or near the gas pedal. You can kick it out of the way as it’s compact. 10/10 would recommend for some tiny bass. Again, it’s not thunderous, but it’s not nothing. Tiny bass.

Good for the sale price
Good bass in a small package. Worth the sale price of 129. Install is easy enough. Needed to add a line output converter and RCA cables that it didn't come with.

Pioneer TS-WX010A vs Pioneer TS-WX130DA. Both are incredible subwoofers!
I bought the 8" Pioneer TS-WX130DA (now superseded with the newer Pioneer TS-WX140DA?) a few years ago & I thought it was already compact enough, but this Pioneer TS-WX010A is WAY smaller & lighter. I was already impressed with the sound quality of the 8" Pioneer TS-WX130DA, but this tiny TS-WX010A can somehow put out the same amount of bass even with its smaller 6-5/8" woofer. I have the TS-WX010A installed underneath the driver seat in a 2020 Hyundai Elantra. The larger Pioneer TS-WX130DA had just barely fit under the driver seat (I almost considered putting it in the trunk); I had to make a small thin wooden platform to level it, so that it could sit above the AC/heating air ducts. I also had to make sure I didn't lower the seat too far, else risk crushing the TS-WX130DA. This is not an issue with the tiny TS-WX010A because it easily fits ON the floor to the left of the air ducts (not on top), so it causes no possible obstruction with the seat height. One positive about the Pioneer TS-WX130DA is having a separate controller (TS-WX010A hertz/gain can only be adjusted on the amp), plus its larger 8" woofer allows for car trunk installs; although I imagine the TS-WX010A might perform ok in the trunk too. However, I found that once I set desired settings on the Pioneer TS-WX130DA, I never touched the controls again. So, I actually prefer no separate controller for ease of installation & less wiring, which makes for a much cleaner look. I should also mention for the Pioneer TS-WX130DA, if you don't have the controller plugged in, it will not work, which is a weak point because if anything happens to it, the whole TS-WX130DA is rendered useless. I found a few reviews complaining that the TS-WX010A was not much louder than their factory speakers. I would bet this is because those users had a factory sound system & had the setting on speaker level input. I tapped into the Elantra speaker wires too, but their output was so low, I had to put the TS-WX010A gain on maximum. I too would have complained like the other negative reviewers. But, I switched the setting to RCA inputs & then the true sound quality came out. I have the gain set to almost half and crossed over at around 80 db. The bass is very impressive, especially for a speaker of this small size. I think most people will find it unbelievable. One last thing to note. The user manual never mentions anything about speaker sensing to turn on the TS-WX010A. AI search said it was actually a feature if using speaker level inputs, but it didn't work for me. Either the speaker level input was too low, or it truly does not support speaker sensing. My older Pioneer TS-WX130DA did support this; I even had it set to RCA inputs & never had the blue remote wire connected. So, I tapped into one of the fuses in the Elantra that only outputs 12v with the key turned on the first click. I went this route vs the more tedious option of pulling the radio out & seeing if it even has a remote turn-on output. And like the Pioneer TS-WX130DA, the yellow constant 12v on the TS-WX010A also just taps into another fuse in the Elantra that always outputs 12v even with car off. Both amps have less than 5A max current, so it's pretty safe to tap into power from one of the15A fuses over spending all the unnecessary work of running a wire directly to the car battery. Like the TS-WX130DA, the yellow power wire on the TS-WX010A also looks like a thin 18awg, so it clearly does not require that much to power the super-efficient onboard amp.

Perfect for single cab truck.
This thing is exactly what my music was missing. After upgrading the head unit and all the speakers, the music was missing bass. This sub provides just the right amount. Not window rattling, chest and head vibrating, just good low end sound. Adult bass as it has been called. I have a 05 silverado, this unit causes no lights to flicker or dim even at high volume. I have leds everywhere, and if you know old trucks, upgrading stereos stuff and lights can cause issues. I haven't had a single problem. Installing super straight forward. My aftermarket headunit has rcas built in, hooked the main power to the battery, drilled a hole for the ground, and connected the amp turn on to the power antenna wire coming off the stereo. Easy. I would definitely recommend and would most certainly buy it again.

No noticeable increase in the lower range
In my experience, it was a disappointment in my C5 Chevrolet Corvette. No matter what adjustments or settings I tried, nothing seemed to help.

Good compact powered subwoofer.
The subwoofer is compact but for my purposes has surprisingly good bass. I keep it powered to a middle setting and it is loud enough for me. The unit was small enough to fit under the driver’s seat of my car and the supplied cables were able to reach the head unit. Installing the powered subwoofer was easy but required me to remove the seat and cut two small holes in the carpet to mount the mounting bracket with the threaded posts to hold the subwoofer down. The main power wire is thin but I believe adequate for the power needs of the amp without issues. There is no hum or ground loop that I can hear. Also I do not hear any rattling of the subwoofer due to the way it was mounted. I would imagine a 10” subwoofer would be far louder but that was not what I was looking for. I am pleased with this purchase and I have had zero issues with it since it was installed several months ago.

Bass for limited space
If you have enough seat space to fit the 8" model or larger get that. If you want a compact subwoofer for your trunk get something else. If you have 6.5" or 6x9" speakers with good deadening maybe skip this. If space is very limited, and still refuse get something bigger. You have arrived. Previously I had an 8" sub then an 8" powered sub, but wanted the trunk space and factory look without doing any fabrication on my old Toyota. This was the only sub that would fit under my seat. This tissue box has more than enough bass to fill the low end especially if you have smaller speakers. It has a surprising amount of thump as long as you maintain expectations. Since it hides under the passenger seat you can't tell there's a sub. If want some bass and don't have or want to give up space this is a nice option.

Like it was made for an Elise.
If you try to do stuff for sound for an Elise you know that you basically have 4 things you have to work around. 1: No space for amplifiers. 2: No space to run wires. 3: Very little room for speaker upgrades (that means you require modifications to go larger than the 4" fronts and 5.25" rear) So most people eat up all of the package shelf for amplifiers and subwoofers (because the speakers are small they have little bass response). The package shelf on these cars is a flexible piece of plastic that I'm sure makes a bunch of rattly noise itself when you have bass tones come out of it and then you have to run wires through the center area where the shifter cables and another thick wiring harness is. It is possible but not ideal. This subwoofer fits perfectly on top of the passenger footrest. On the Elise there is an fusebox (usually unused) already setup for the driving lights on the bottom of the dashboard that you can tap into for power. The sub being downfiring means you don't have to worry about people damaging it when their feet are on the footrest. I attached it with velcro to the bulkhead and the footrest and the bass response is excellent and felt throughout the entire chassis. I'm sure it won't be suitable for a Suburban or something, but for this car it works fantastic.

prime impressioni Pioneer TS-WX010A

Great Little Sub for the Price
For the price and size, this little amp puts out a surprising amount of "thump". Fit well in my Ford Bronco under the seat and didn't interfere with the rear air duct or the floor mat.

Fits anywhere
Fits perfectly in my small car under the drivers seat was not an option (gas tank is there) and the sound isn't bad but it's not as powerful as the full size under seat sub woofer I had before from Pioneer.
