Casts like a missile
Great little design the 475 is 18 feet and the short taper on this thing really loads a road quickly. I use this for surf fishing for stripers using overhead casts or I do spey casts in bays and estuaries all on an 7/8/9 13'6 spey rod with a grain window of 550-850. My primary setup is 475 grain OPST Commando head with 10ft of T20 as a tip but the same rod can cast overhead as much as 875 grains before it starts feeling overloaded. That said with this short head it really loads quick and shoots very far and effortlessly which is what I would expect from a much heavier rig. For spey casting I was surprised that it still loaded the rod well even though the rod is rated for skagit heads probably a good 150 grains heavier. I think its just how compact the heads are that they hang a lot of weight at the rod tip being such a short taper and it helps load a rod using much less grains than a longer taper would require. overall good quality of build too I'd say the build quality is as good or better than the big names. I'd definitely purchase again.

Amazing line
I was a little leery of this line when I was reading the reviews. It is amazing how easy it is to use and the distance you can achieve with so little effort. I’m new to the Spey I didn’t want to break the bank on new gear so I figured that for less than a $100 I could give it a try. Well worth it. Highly recommend the line.
