Surprisingly solid tape for the price. It sticks well, tears cleanly, and actually doesn’t leave residue, which is rare. The matte finish makes it great for labeling or hiding cables, and it holds up without peeling. The only downside is the roll feels a little smaller than expected, but the quality makes up for it. Great for quick fixes, crafts, and organizing.

Great product. I decided to buy another roll after 2 years of trying out one. It holds great, not stuck like gorilla tape or duct take but very strong for long time. Easy to use and looks great.

I originally purchased the Gaffer Tape from this brand in the tan color for a vendor booth event where I had to make sure nobody would trip over the floor tile edge and it worked like a charm for 4 days (AND matched my floor tiles very well so it didn't look dorky). The vendor next to me was in tears because her giant rug was curling and not staying flat - I lent her my gaffer tape and it saved the day for her show, too. She was so happy that it worked! I love this stuff, I'm like a gaffer tape evangelist now - it's kinda like duct tape but with a fabric feel and sticks so nicely. I was excited to discover recently that they have white gaffer tape as I needed to adhere some netting to the carpet around my heater vents to try to prevent bugs from coming into my house, but my carpet and baseboards are cream and white so I didn't want some ugly blue or green painter's tape eyesore. The white looks much better. Honestly everybody needs to own gaffer tape and this is THE brand to get. I am not being compensated for this review, I just genuinely appreciate this product so much. I love this stuff. It tears evenly by hand every time and sticks to most dry, clean surfaces and even some dirty ones. I've never had an issue with it pulling off paint except when the paint job wasn't properly prepped. I use the white variety to add an extra seal around window air conditioners and it works great for the whole season. I use it to tape HVAC filters to box fans for frugal air "purifiers." Don't spend crazy money on gimmicky air purifiers. They get you on the replacement filters, too. Instead, get high end filters at home improvement stores. Inexpensive, very effective and serviceable, but the tradeoff is a McGyver aesthetic. These have been used widely during wildfires to filter out soot when everything else was sold out. Lots of other uses. Obviously, securing cords and cables like a real gaffer is a major one. I always keep a roll of black and a roll of white on hand. Yes, it is definitely expensive, but you can immediately feel the difference between it and cheapo brands when you first pull a strip off the roll. It tends to be thicker, it tears better and the adhesive is superior. Save it for applications where you really need this specialized product. Use duct tape for things you don't really care too much about or for basic daily stuff.

Good luminescent tape. It fits the definition of gaffer's tape in that it's a structurally strong cloth tape with easy high adhesion and easy removal with no residue or gumminess. Can be removed and re-applied. Not as adhesive as regular gaffer's tape. Not as luminescent as the plastic 'peel'n'stick' glow in the dark tape, but will last through the night. Not so bright you could see it in a movie theater after a half an hour, but you'll definitely see it if you wake up at four in the a.m and your eyes have adjusted to darkness. I like it, wish it came in a bigger size. Edited to add: Since this is a cloth tape it will get wet and will get stained, unlike plastic peel'n'stick glow tape. I have both types on a coffee mug and this gaffer's tape has started turning brown in spots after washing out grounds, while the plastic tape is pristine. This has affected the luminescence some. Have yet to try cleaning it with a toothbrush. But then again the plastic peel'n'stick tape is a giant pain to clean off of something after it has adhered a while. Happy with the trade off for ease of removal.

I use gaffer tape constantly in my event planning and styling work, and white is just as essential as black in my kit. Grabbed this for setups where black tape would show against light surfaces, linens, or flooring. The color is a true clean white, which matters when it’s visible in a styled space. The thickness feels sturdy without being bulky, the size is perfect at 2 inches, and it’s lightweight enough to not add drag when you’re taping overhead or on fabric. Stickiness is strong but controlled — holds all day and releases clean. Solid value for 30 yards. If you’re in events or styling and only have black, grab the white too.

Seems to work great so far. Super sticky and feels heavy duty. Also not really important but I like the look it has.

UPDATE: 1 Year Later -- Oct/2016 Just wanted to update, as someone who had never used this tape, a year ago, I now wish I'd discovered it ages ago, because it is now my "go to" tape for so many things. I'm many rolls into my use and experience with it, and I just keep finding great ways to use this in place of other tapes (particularly duct tape) I relied on, in the past, that just don't do anywhere near the job that this tape can do. I now have cords safely secured, I have protected phone lines on carpeted areas where once they were walked on, tripped over, and exposed to damage. I have used it as a means of temporarily securing things, without damaging paint on walls. I have even made straps out of it (sticking two pieces together) to secure routers to the walls in the office, so they are safe from falling over or off of a shelf. I've reinforced storage boxes, made a container for my car trunk area (that has held up like steel), patched things, and the list of uses just goes on. This tape is super versatile. Plainly put, Gaffer Tape is INCREDIBLE stuff, and I'm seriously glad I gave it a try. If you've always relied on other tapes in the past, please give this a try, because it is far superior to any other tape out there, in my experience, for what it can do, and it comes in handy for countless tasks. I'm now a fan of this stuff, for life! ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW (October of 2015) Well, this is my first experience trying out this tape, which I bought to have an added option for those "I NEED TAPE!!!" moments that come up in life. Duct tape and electrical tape are great, but sometimes reach their limits -- and I REALLY like the appearance of this tape, far better than any other tape I've seen. We all have those repair jobs we do, to save some bucks, and, nothing against good old duct tape, but it can look a little tacky sometimes, as we all know, and this tape has a matte, material surface, instead of the shiny vinyl look of duct tape, so I was happy to see that, for whatever needs come up, it will look far better and, based on reviews here, it will obviously perform very well also. My initial need was to create a storage box in my car trunk, and the project turned out well. I use race fuel additive, and of, course, I always keep a few cans in the trunk for fill ups, but got tired of them either rolling around, or stuck in a crummy old plastic bag. Now they are stored neatly, out of the way and the Gaffer Tape did well for this little project. Customer service from the seller here, WebGage, is PHENOMENAL. They answered all of my questions, plus they even send out a free guide about the Gaffer Tape, which came in very handy for me, as a first time buyer, trying this product. I'm sure I will have a million more needs for this tape, as time goes on, and it's awesome to now have another option. I already prefer it to duct tape, just on this first time use, and, now that I've read their guide they sent out, I have even more needs that this tape can meet! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This is my first purchase of gaffer tape, so I can't compare this brand with others. But I can say that this product has amazed me. I bought it originally to place a marker at the top of our stairs, for safety. The flooring and the stairs are both the same laminate, and it was easy to miss the first step. It has been on the floor now for more than 2 weeks, and although we have walked over it many times, it continues to adhere to the floor with no peeling at all. Then I used it to stick a temporary notice to the front door of our church. It stuck there in the wind just fine, and when I removed it later not only did the tape lift off the door as clean as a whistle, it peeled off the paper just as well. It was just ordinary copy paper, but it was just as pristine after I removed the tape as it was before. Then the sliding door in our shower wouldn't stay closed. It slowly drifted open during a shower. The track on which the rollers ran was sloping slightly. I took a piece of the tape and wrapped it around the track. That was enough to stop the drift, but the door slides over it easily when we open or close it in the normal way. It will require replacement after a while, but it will be easy to remove the old piece, leaving no residue, and replace it as required. Already, I am wondering how I ever managed without this amazing stuff. So glad I found it! 1st February 2022 - UPDATE! OK so the tape I used to mark the top of my stairs (see above) held wonderfully. But today it was looking a bit grungy and I decided it was time to renew it. I was a bit apprehensive. My friend who is an engineer at a radio station told me gaffer tape is great, but if you leave it in place too long, it won't come off cleanly. So it has been there 4 months, and we have been walking on it several times a day. How will it perform? The video tells the story. At first the tape pulled off perfectly - for about the first 18 inches. After that some residue was left. (It took a lot of effort to pull it off the laminate flooring, yet the tape didn't tear.) Then, I found that all I had to do to remove the residue was to press the tape that had come off well against the remaining residue. I had wondered if I would have to use a solvent to do the job, but no! The second picture shows the laminate after all the tape was removed, and it is absolutely pristine. No need at all to clean off any remaining residue. Wow again!

It's worth buying..good quality and does it's work of glowing in the dark...I am using it to lable on all switch board It works amazing in the dark glowing.

More expensive to purchase, but am happy I did. Great product.
