Q: Do you put the Black or grey side down?

It doesn’t say on the packaging. I installed it grey side down so it will be easier to see when it’s getting dirty.

Q: What size is the uncut filter ?

I don’t know the filter size uncut but I had to cut it to go into my cooker hood and the size I cut it to was 12ins x 22 ins hope this helps you

Q: How many pieces before cutting?

It comes in one single piece so as long as you get one that's larger than needed you can then just trim to size.
