Sweet tent!
It's perfect. Semi freestanding tent that is super light but feels like it'll stand up to a lot of use. It has multiple pockets for storage. It packs down in my pack to lay on it's side leaving room for my bear can. I put the polls in the pocket on the side of my bag. I can't wait to get out and use it as soon as it warms up a little.

Great tent!
After much research and reading reviews. I ended up choosing this tent for my backpacking tent. Not only this model but brand as well. And I was not disappointed! Bought the ul3 based on measurements and reviews I read. The 3 person tent was just right for 2 ppl. We weren't squished and were able to have our bags in the tent with us. But even the 2 vestibules have plenty of room. Which is where we kept our shoes and camp sandles. It was also super light. I have a 1 person tent from another company that is 3.5 lbs while this 3 person tent is only 2.9 lbs and that's is you want to use the bags. I took everything out of the bags and put the contents in my pack to save 5 onces. I did use a footprint but the tent held up great! It didn't rip and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I definitely suggest this tent if you're looking for a well built and light backpacking tent. I even plan on buying the ul2 for when I backpack and don't plan on having to share mt tent.

Perfect light weight tent
Seriously impressed. I was nervous about using a one person. Easy set up and I was able to put my Nemo wide mat inside with a couple inches to spare on the sides. I brought my shoes inside toe to heel in a plastic bag along the side of the mat. And my pack was able to go above it overlapping only 1-2 inches. Under the pillow or me below with my knees in comfy side sleeping position. Never felt cramped. Changing wasn’t has hard to do as I figured either. Tons of pockets for storage….better than my 2p copper spur. Totally winner for any back country hiking. I’m 5’6”. 180lbs. Totally recommend this after 3 nights back country. The tent stretches A LOT to match the size of the footprint. Had to reach out to Big A about that cause the sizes seemed so different.

Very light but not sturdy
Product is very light. I love it. The bag it came in already ripped. Understandably it’s going to be less durable than its thicker counterparts, but I’ve only used it once. I’ll update with future uses. After five uses:I wouldn’t buy it again. It would be okay for zero wind and perfect ground that you can stake very firmly. Keeping it tight with rocks is an exercise in futility, and any billowing or flapping movement in even light wind is very loud. It’s quite fragile also and tears more easily, a known risk when buying UL. Great weight, but just not very practical. The extra weight on other Big Agnes tent designs for a sturdier tent is worth it.

It'll Do
This will be my backpack tent for this summer. Only set it up twice.... indoors.... So I haven't been able to actually stake it out properly, and being only semi-free standing I had to improvise.I'd say, from what I see.... It will do what I need for this summer.... Hopefully. But my plans will go beyond that afterwards, and something more robust will be necessary. This is a descent tent for medium level backpacking. I wouldnt necessarily want it on the open plains.

Best backpacking tent
This tent is spacious and very light weight. It’s more like a 2.5 man tent instead of 3 man.It rained like crazy my last trip out and this tent did very well keeping everything dry.

Love it
It the only backpacking tent I have owned so I can't compare. I have slept in my back yard and gone on a few backpacking overnight hikes and I love it. I'm 225 lbs and 6'2" and I sleep comfortable in it.

Extremely light and plenty of room
I don't always tent camp, but when I do, this is my go-to. It weighs practically nothing and leaves options.
