We rescued two sad looking rust bucket cast iron fireplaces and added them in two of our bedrooms. Sadly, the secure holes that would secure them to the wall was broken so we had to think out of the box and these z-brackets were the answer and ability to breathe new life into the fire surrounds.

Needed a good strong support for some garage doors after all the gale force winds we’ve been experiencing lately and these were perfect for the job

The brackets are just what I expected; well made, sturdy and exactly as described. I bought 2 packs, so 4 brackets.Each comes with three wood screws which are of the cheapest material imaginable! Two of the heads sheared off before the screws were even tight. I was using them on a garden gate made of pine, a renowned SOFTWOOD. Why ruin a perfectly good bracket with such low quality fixings??The brackets are certainly NOT CHEAP so I really can’t understand it.

The brackets look great and hold a 2 cm x 4 cm wooden barricade in place. Looks good and feels secure. Just a pity that they had to come all the way from China, I would rather have bought a British product made nearby.

Used a pair for extra security on a garage door, good quality just not really suitable for UK 4x2
