Excellent. A+++
This is an excellent book with lots of useful, valid information. It is well written and easy to understand. I have prepping for many years and still found some handy tips. Recommended.

Solid advice from a man who actually knows!
Possibly the most sensible and ‘down to earth’ book about prepping I have ever read. This volume is full of truly excellent advice and has caused me to completely re-think my plans. It won’t work miracles, but listening to Ted’s advice and perhaps giving your own plans some more thought might change your future. The style is easy to read and I was able to pick out lots of relevant information and apply it quickly.Highly recommended even if you aren’t a prepper!

Practical, helpful advice
This is the first book I've read of this kind and it told me everything I feel I need to know. Sound, sensible, practical advice which is achievable without too much difficulty or spending a fortune. Furthermore it no longer seems extreme or paranoid to be thinking about making some preparations for emergency situations. (UK readers like myself will obviously find the section on firearms irrelevant.)

Quick, practical and a far cry from the 80'a doom-mongering focus on box suits and fall out
A concise book which gives enough direction to make holistic planning priority - there are many more specific books to help you refine the detail once you have considered this base planning phase which can be followed (rabbit hole esque) to the hearts content. A lightbread

It’s ok, but nothing special
It’s fine. It’s not great. It’s mostly common sense. No pictures. Spaced out text.I read it in one night. It’s not awful, the author seems well-intentioned but I wouldn’t buy it again.

What a fab book!
This book was delivered late last night and I have already finished - although yes in parts maybe more for the American market, I would say 99% is totally aimed at everyone and I have read a fair few books on survival and this has to be up there as a fav! So simple to read. Really made me think in ways other books haven’t - It’s not just about when something could happen, but with all that has gone on let’s face it it has happened and could potentially get real in the coming months and this is a great book for you to read and reference!

Easy to read, what I was hoping for.
This book is just what I was looking for. Some of the other reviews mention that it doesn't go into great detail or could do a better job explaining things, which is at times true. However, this isn't what I was looking to get out of the book. I just wanted an easy read, broken down into manageable chapters, that provoked good thought and consideration on how best to prepare for various situations. Then if there was something I wanted to learn a lot more about or dive into with great detail, I could easily do this through the web, online forums, other resources, etc. This book provides good high-level information and shares some things that I hadn't yet considered, so I appreciated from that aspect as well. Would recommend to anyone looking to be better prepared in a variety of situations to take care of their family and self.

Covers all the basics
This is a great book to have if you are new to "prepping." It covers all the basics in an easy to understand way. For me it answered a great many question and helped me channel hard earned money into things that made sense for my family and I. I highly recommend it.

They're mostly cheap. Buy 'em, store 'em & keep them as survival insurance.
They're mostly cheap. Buy 'em, store 'em & keep them as survival insurance. It would be great info (any info is extremely useful for the inexperienced, the easily stressed, and the poor memory people & just plain any emergency situation). No comments on individual quality as purchased as above as it's a quick review on about 20 ebooks I purchased, eg. I'll read them if I ever need them. If the internet still exists when the SHTF I'll let you know.Greeting from Downunder!

Good starting plank for prepping journey
It is not encyclopedia, but it was a good read for me. I learned some terminology preppers use, and what should be done in general, and some details in order to be prepared for unpredictable events. There are some concrete recommendations, suggestions. But most important it help to jump-start thinking what else you need for survival.
