This desk was packaged very well in a huge heavy box; it takes at least 2 people to carry this inside. I built the desk on my own, which I will say, the instructions are legible and guide you whether you’d like to choose a Left-or-Right facing angle. If you don’t have extra helping hands, don’t worry, it’s manageable if you like the challenge. Once I saw the finished result, I immediately fell in love with how spacious the desk and drawers are. Especially the drawers, they’re very useful. As a soon-to-be college graduate student, I was in desperate need of a nicer desk in comparison to my compact-fully freshman desk. Not only does this desk exceed my expectations, but it also provided me the confidence I needed. It’s sleek, and also very easy to clean. It’s a very good investment which it will probably last me for years, and it was worth every $. This desk arrived with a damaged desktop. I contacted the manufacturer, Monarch, through their website MonarchSpec.com and attempted to order a replacement. 1. They wouldn't send a replacement for the damaged item because "It doesn't look like a manufacturing error" and wouldn't even let me purchase a replacement, even though they have an order form for replacement parts on the website, because they "don't ship individual parts."DO NOT BUY ANY MONARCH PRODUCTS! They will not and do not stand by their products. They will not and do not respect their customers. They do not care.Now I am stuck with a $400 desk with a big gash in the desktop making it nearly unusable. Lucky me.

About half of the pieces had damaged/gouged corners. The instructions were also wrong on 2 parts which made the construction of the desk take longer than it should.

It’s a pain to put together and I wouldn’t call it high quality. It looks nice but the black surface shows every single fingerprint. Not a fan of that but it was a reasonable price for the size and comes with drawers. It’s fine for the price.

For the price of this desk, you can’t go wrong. It goes together, easy, feels very rigid, and is plenty big to do everything I need to do for work. And it looks nice!

I purchased this desk because I loved how it looked and in that area it didn't disappoint. I did however run into a comedy of errors which prevents me from recommending this desk to anyone else.First, the instructions could be a lot better. I've built a ton of KD furniture over the years and more than my fair share of IKEA and these instructions are towards the bottom of the list in terms of ease of understanding.Second, the huge benefit of this desk for me was the ability to build it left or right facing. What they don't tell you however is that all of the pre-drilled holes are for a "right" assembly. If you want to build it "left" facing, you have to line things up on the floor and drill your own holes for the screw plates.Third, parts were missing from the box required to complete the desk. The support people on the phone were very good, but it took weeks for the parts to arrive.Between the amount of time it took to get the desk initially from the date I ordered, to realizing parts were missing I needed to order, to getting those parts, and then a further delay to reach customer support to find out if I was building it wrong only to learn holes were missing, took almost a month to get the desk completed.So unless you have a lot of time and patience as well as the tools to make your own modifications to the finished product, do not buy this if you need a "left" facing desk. Everyone else, build at your own risk.

The desk has a large work area and that's what I was after. The instruction manual poorly illustrated with no explanation, the company should invest in a good technical writer.

Good but not perfect.. was very unhappy because top of desk is really badly scratched! We have written complaints 2x now and have heard nothing! This desk was not cheap $650We shall see what happens!Very disappointed in how this is being handled!
