That is probably because many Japanese homes lack central heating. The higher maximum electrical load of this blanket may also account, in part, for the high build quality of the electrical control.Finally, unlike American electric blankets, this blanket is somewhat thinner than an ordinary non-electric blanket. That doesn’t affect its performance, which is a function of electrically-derived heat, rather than insulation.
