C110 2K 3MP Indoor Security Camera Pet Camera Dog Camera

This camera is amazing for the money! I’ve had more high end cameras that are poor quality, poor app usage and don’t pick up on movement. This one is great and just what I needed. The app is easy to use, there is a small monthly subscription which gives you full access to the app wherever you are. Let’s you watch footage back up to 30 days and save to camera roll. It is really simple to set up and the video quality is great! Highly recommend wouldn’t get any other now and friends and family have took my advice and love it too!

The only tricky bits to setting up the C110 were having to hold a pin in the little hole for 5 seconds to wake the camera up and when the wi-fi could not find the camera. When I plugged the camera into a socket near to the router it connected straight away. The power cord is exactly the right length at 3 metres, the cord is thinner than I'd expected, which is a good thing and blends in well in the black. It was easier to format the micro SD card (bought separately) than I'd thought it would be. Some of the well known memory card brands cost more than the camera, even for 32GB. I ended up getting a budget brand Integral 64GB Premium High Speed from Integral on Amazon. A shout out to the reviewer that stopped me from buying a 32GB PNY micro SD card from Argos that would not have worked with the C110. I can watch a live feed whenever I feel like it via the app even though I have not set it to continuosly record. I have selected schedules of when I do want it to record anything that moves. So far I am very impressed with how well the camera works, how simple it is with the free Tapo for android app and the excellent value for the money.

I purchased this camera to add to my ever-growing collection of Tapo, or for that matter my wider collection of Smart Devices. First thing I want to say is that this is an impressive little camera considering the price (when not raised to later be dropped for a deal). The picture Quality is very good when viewed on a phone with it set to 2k, it remains good when viewed on a 1080p TV screen (via Firestick) or device with similar screen resolution. There is a slot for a Micro SD card which removes the need for it to be connected to a hub, set up in the Tapo app and subsequently with Alexa to view on Alexa enabled devices is straight forward. I have used a 128GB Micro SD Card and this seems to be more than adequate, as numerous recordings have not used large amounts of space. Especially as the recordings can be set on a loop or individual recordings can be downloaded and the SD card formatted if needed, and even set with recordings to loop it’s possible to see how much space is used and free. While on the subject of space usage, its worth mentioning the motion/people sensors in this camera are very sensitive even at the low setting and can occasionally trigger even when you can’t see why. If your intention is to use this as an indoor camera to monitor inside your home, I think you will probably be satisfied with this Camera, and it comes with a decent length power adapter cable. However, my intention was to use it as an indoor camera facing out from my window, and here I found a couple of issues. The first was that the mount for this camera involves the positioning of a couple of screws to slot the base onto, the problem with this is that I could not position the screws in a way that made possible to slot the base into the position I wanted. I overcame this issue with a 3M adhesive pad (surprisingly not include, as most smart devices come with Screws and 3M Adhesive Pads, which is why I have some, but they can be purchased easily). The Second issue for me is the Night Vision which appears to only be black and white, not in colour. It also presented another issue for me, in that when the camera is set to Night Vision or Auto, and facing out of a window the view from the camera at night is of the reflection of the built-in lights on the window, rendering night vision useless. However, if you set the camera to Day Vision permanently, street lights or ambient light at night will be sufficient in most cases to monitor what is happening in front of the camera (and not the reflection in the window) in colour, but obviously not as sharp or clear as in day light. It’s worth noting that while Day Vision works at night, the more light the better, it will not work if there is no light. In summary this really is a reasonably priced good quality little security camera that will work well when used to monitor your home, pets, etc., from another location. The issues I have had are because I’m using an indoor camera to monitor outside, which is not the intended use for this camera. That said it still does what I want it to do, albeit with a work around or two on my part.

This is my second TAPO camera and I love it. I already have the indoor one for Delta (My dog) , so I ordered this for outdoors and it’s brilliant. The picture is really clear, the sound is great, and it’s so easy to set up and use. It’s downloaded to my phone so I can see who comes to my door, and if Delta is playing in the front garden I can watch him and even talk to him through it. You can change the angle from your phone too, which is really handy. A great product and really good value for money.

I love tapo cameras. They’re incredibly easy and quick to set up. Good value and have no monthly subscription. The app is quick and shows the feed almost immediately and the image quality is great.

I installed the Tapo C113 above my front door in the porch, and it’s turned out to be the perfect spot for this compact outdoor camera. It covers the entrance clearly, stays protected from the elements, and gives me a reliable view of anyone approaching the house. 🎥 Image Quality The 2K (3MP) resolution is more than sharp enough for a front‑door camera. Faces, clothing details, and even small items like parcels are easy to identify. The porch lighting combined with the camera’s sensor gives a clean, crisp picture during the day. At night, the colour night vision really shines. With the spotlight on, the footage looks almost like daytime. Even without it, the infrared mode gives a clear black‑and‑white image that still captures plenty of detail. 🚨 Motion Detection Mounted above the door, the motion detection works exactly as it should. It picks up people approaching the porch without being triggered by passing cars or distant movement. Person detection helps filter out unnecessary alerts, and notifications arrive quickly. 📱 App Experience Setup was quick — scan, connect, and it was ready to go. The Tapo app makes it easy to check live view, review recordings, and adjust sensitivity. If you already use Tapo gear, it fits right into the ecosystem. 🌧️ Build & Placement Even though mine is installed in a sheltered porch, the camera feels solid and weather‑ready. The mount allows for precise angling, which is ideal for front‑door placement where you want to capture faces rather than just the top of someone’s head. 🔊 Audio Two‑way audio is clear enough for quick conversations with delivery drivers or visitors. The image quality is excellent, the night vision is genuinely useful, and the motion detection is reliable without being annoying. For a small, affordable outdoor camera, it’s a fantastic choice — especially for front‑door monitoring.

Just to say that the night vision works through infra red like they all do. This means that if you place this indoors in your window, it won't see through the window at night time because the infra red reflects off the glass. Even if you cover the lights on the sides of the camera, it won't make a difference. With that aside, this is an amazing camera and I'm very impressed with it 🙂. The daytime image quality through the window is excellent and when I'm at work in the office during the day its good to check in now and again. If you want nighttime outdoor vision then, like the rest, you need to put it outside or if its a quick peak of your backyard, hold it out of the open window for a few seconds.

Great camera, we've got 3 of these and one of them is 10 years old and still working great. Very easy to set up and no subscription fees. The sound is not the best but it will record a conversation ok. Highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough good things about Tapo cameras. They react to every movement cue, adjustable for your needs, and have not missed any crucial moments yet. They also link to my Echo devices so, when anything happens, the entire house screams bloody murder. Love these things.

I have these on a second level windowsill looking out. Surprised how well they pick up movement and people. It records up to 3 minutes of video at a time. Longer clips are broken up into 3 minute sections. The only thing if you want to use for outside recording you can't use night mode because the infrared light just bounces off the window blinding the camera. This is ok for me because day mode still works decently since my outdoors is well lit. App is easy to use and I can set up multiple cameras on one app. I use a micro SD card to keep the videos and I can dowload specific clips to my phone. You can even take screenshots of your Live video or recorded clips of you want a still photo. You can even add a black privacy bar to prevent recording certain areas for privacy reasons. Would definitely recommend
