How long can you leave this on the dog? Can it stay on for a week or more?

They say that it should come off every night, and that's probably a good idea. If left on too long, your dog can get open sores from the contact points rubbing on his/her skin. Loosening the collar to prevent this will also prevent the collar from working. We are very satisfied with the collar, but it does need to be removed and left off overnight with some regularity.

Will a bark collar help with whining? I have a Husky and he whines and whines and whines, quite annoying actually. Almost like a high pitch bark.

I think it all depends on how heavy or loud the whipper/whine is because I believe it works on the vibration it picks up. Most likely it will. About the one you activate, that could go both. If your not near by you could miss the opportunity. I had one previously and hit the zap level dial by mistake before the activation button and giving a zap for a 120lb dog to a 30lb dog makes you feel really, really bad. Huskies tend to be on the smarter side and I feel this could work.

I have multiple dogs. If one (the naughty one) is wearing the collar, and another dog barks, does the stim kick in?

Unfortunately, when our bigger dog barks our smaller dog is getting zapped when she isn't barking.
