MUCK Chore Classic Men's Steel Toe Boot

I agree with the good things all the other reviews say. I got these for the steel toe for safety when I use a chainsaw. The neoprene upper is subject to tears. I cut the top off an old pair of cheap boots and attached it on the outside with Shoe-goo to protect the uppers of the Muck boots. You could buy gaiters but the gaiters cost more than a cheap pair of boots, especially a worn out pair of boots that are ready to be thrown away. The rubber part of the boot sometimes gets pierced by sharp stumps. I am currently using Aquaseal for repairs. I tried Shoe Goo but it didn't seem to adhere for long. The sole came loose from a pair of Muck Wetland boots and I reattached it with Shoe Goo. The repair lasted a long time. These boots seem to be the same as the wetland boots except they are blacker, have a steel toe and the rubber goes up higher for better protection from sharp sticks. These are made in China. The outside rubber on the latest ones is slightly pebbled and I think it used to be smooth.

Muck boots are worth the extra money! If you've ever chosen to buy a pair of rubber boots at a big box store like Walmart in the last number of years, you were likely disappointed. I know I was. I never imagined paying $100 for a pair of rubber boots and instead routinely paid $20 or more for the stiff plastic like rubber boot. Those are very uncomfortable to walk in since they are so stiff and on the front where they kink as you walk, they often quickly crack and leak. Off to the store for a new pair or the shed to check if the last pair had a leaking left so I can use that right boot in place of my newer current failed one. It was actually this end of the season mismatched set of boots that prompted a good friend to gift me with a pair of Muck Chore boots! All I can say is "WOW" They are so comfortable and the upper is a very supple foam like rubber that flexes nicely as you walk. Simply put, they are great and I find myself wearing them more and having dryer feet as opposed to opting for shoes and then suffering with wet feet. I have recently bought this second set so I can have a pair at both the summer place and the winter place and fully expect them to last for years! Buy a pair and you won't regret the investment!

My son LOVES these boots!! He raves about them! He works outdoors at a Christmas tree farm and he said that they were amazing. Warm and waterproof and easy to walk around in. The flexibility isn't the greatest for walking up and down stairs, but they outperformed his expectations in every other way.

Sizing was a bit of a challenge for me. I ordered the recommended size and it turned out to be too small. It is a challenge for me because I have to figure out what size I wear in mens converted from womens. I got a size bigger then recommended and they fit perfect. Great boots and have stood up to refinery work. Comfy and keep water out. They do make my feet sweat a bit if I dont have on thin socks.

Perfect when working in cold and wet conditions. I am a lineman, so I have a respond to just about any situation at any time and weather. I keep these in my work truck. I highly recommend them.

Like many people, I was confused as to what size these are. It's a men's size 11, and that's what I wear in regular boots. I usually buy a 12 in Muck boots so I can wear very thick wool socks for winter warmth and I can slip them off without using my hands for summer mud. These boots are slightly snug with my thick wool socks, but at this price I am perfectly fine with that. No leaks yet. These look like an older model, and I guess that's why they are cheaper. But these are such a deal, I bought 2 pairs (which is what one pair would cost normally). So its a good pair of boots...buy them!

Thought they would be longer and didn't realize that the rubber doesn't go all the way to the top.
