Easy solution to store ironing board
I am working hard to de clutter and organize my house. I was trying to find the perfect place to store my ironing board where it was both out of the way but also easy to get to when needed. I tried 3 different places and as my house is small I wasn’t happy with any of them. That’s when I had the idea to see if there was an over the door hanger for the ironing board. That’s how I found this one on Amazon- it worked perfectly! I could not be happier! Perfect solution for a very reasonable price.

Very study, holds my large ironing board nicely.
The weight and sturdiness of this is perfect for my wide, large ironing board. Fits the door nicely too. I added sticky-back felt at the point where it rests on the door and also where the hooks hold my ironing board, because it has angled legs. So, it will hold either style of ironing board: T-shaped or angled legs. Nice asset to my sewing room!! Now my ironing board is quickly accessible, yet stored out of the way when not in use….great space-saver!

Exactly what I needed
No frills, just gets the job done. I didn’t want an iron rack as well. Easy peasy. Hang the rack on the door, the ironing board on the rack. Boom.

GREAT!
This little ironing board hanger does the trick!! It fit over this solid wood door and still allows the door to close. I am able to fully open the door with the ironing board hanging on the hanger. It comes with 2 screws to secure it on the top, but its working fine without doing that, so I will probably skip that. Very happy with the purchase. Will buy one for downstairs next!

Overall, a good hanger BUT.....
First off, kudos to Amazon for their speedy delivery - I ordered on Saturday, expected it on Tuesday, and it arrived Monday morning. That was wonderful because we are in the process of reorganizing things so it was great to check the ironing board location off my list. This is a nice hanger which has plenty of room for standard-thickness doors and it's solid built so no problems holding the board weight. It has two screw holes on top to make a permanent mount if you'd like, but you the buyer, need to provide the screws. Not a big deal in my book but it's good to know. The one thing I really wish it had was felt or rubber pads on the metal parts that meet the door - on top where it hangs over the door as well as the back of the vertical bars. There are rubber covers over the curved tips of the hanger and that will protect your ironing board I guess, but the door needs it more. Like others have said, every time the door is opened, if your board is hanging with the legs facing the door, the ironing board knocks against the door. Over time, opening and closing the door with the board always banging it will wear the paint on the door. I found like others also mentioned, that hanging the board with the legs facing out solves the knocking issue but it also causes the board (at least mine) to hang a little further away from the door. I have mine hanging behind our laundry room door (which always stays open) so it's out of sight and I now have free wall space where my ironing board was hanging before. That's a great thing! I just have to be careful not to hit the wall every time I rehang my board and leave the room. All in all, it's a good hanger, but if I found one with the missing features, I would have purchased it over this one.

Many uses for this hanger
I actually use this hanger for my folding step stool behind my pantry door. Not too much to say about this product. Just hang it over the top of your door and that's it.

Yes, Virginia, people do still have ironing boards!
My ironing board has been leaning against the wall next to my bedroom door for decades, and I adjusted to not having my bedroom door completely open because of the space it took up. I recently had to buy a new ironing board, much to the amusement of family and friends who don't believe anyone still irons, and I opted for the in-your-face, can-it-get-much-bigger-than-this, Brabantia 49X18 model. It wouldn't fit behind the door, so I thought I'd (finally!!) try the hang-it-all approach. The new ironing board is a Y-leg, and I wasn't sure it would work with this hanger, but, with the fabric-top facing into the room, the legs stay secure, there is no wiggle, and I can open my bedroom door almost to the wall! The device fits the 1 3/8" door well, with a bit of room to spare, and although there is a bit of resistance, I can close the door completely (which I rarely do). I almost cannot believe what a neat job this does, and for $7.50, it's a laughably affordable, decades-long problem solver. Yay, Spectrum!
