I use this on popcorn I donate to the senior center weekly. I feel it has just the right amount of salt and butter flavor at a great price.

These add that missing flavor to stove top popcorn, once you try it you will feel like you're missing something if you don't use it again. They give you measurements on the back but for the amount of popcorn I make it requires just a tiny amount, maybe half a teaspoon or it becomes too salty, a little bit goes a long way with this stuff.I find the best way to spread this evenly so you don't get "hot spots" that are more salty than other spots, is to sprinkle it over the seeds as they lay in the oil, then when the oil warms up enough to become less viscous, tilt the pot a little so the oil and corn all pool and mix, then I shake it a bit to make sure the oil pool is thoroughly mixed, then hold the pot level again and shake it to spread everything out again.

Certainly makes popcorn better

I've tried this a handful of times on homemade popcorn so far, (that being popcorn kernels cooked in a pot with just a bit of olive oil), and I really enjoyed it at first. Its basically just flavored fine-grained salt with yellow coloring, and it did a decent job at mimicking what movie theater popcorn tastes like without a ton of unhealthy butter and whatever else they use.Eventually though I grew a little tired of how much flavor it packed and desired something more simple. So for the past few months I've gone back to just regular table salt instead. And... now I still have a ton of flavacol left just sitting in my cabinet not being used. The price was a good deal for sure, maybe I'll slowly use more of it over the years whenever I'm in an especially flavorsome popcorn mood.

Bought these for inclusion in two movie lovers gift baskets, so although I’m happy with the product and the price, I’m disappointed that both cartons look bedraggled and smashed up to fit inside the small box they came in.:-(
