Caught plenty of fish
First time using this, no complaints. Use for salt water fishing off shore excursion. Easy to use, caught 34 Ling!Downside, all, I mean ALL instructions are in Japanese!!! You need to know a little bit about electric reel before you purchase. 3 stars for instructions

Great and simple
The only dislike I have about this reel is that I had to put on 40lb braid line to get down to the depts that I'm fishing, I was able to get 1300ft of line on it at that 40lb test, but it works. the reel worked fantastic with 3lb weights and caught me a ton of rockfish. Excellent price for a excellent product!!!!

Works great
The media could not be loaded. I brought this reel 1-1/2 years ago. I used it for cod,haddock,pollock and whiting from depth to 300 ft. I didn’t have no problems with bringing none of the fish up at all.

Electric reel and customer service
Although there was an discrepancy with the pricing the seller provided excellent communication and resolved the issue promptly. Very good follow up customer service. Pleased with the product as well.

If you know Japanese buy this reel
Well I love these electric reels however, it should be stated in the description that this particular model has NO ENGLISH manual. I called the Diawa.us tech support and they even said it has no english instructions. It also has no language settings on the reel as well so I'm a little disappointed. I really wanted to use the functions on the reel but I'm thinking the learning curve is gonna be a little steep since I got to learn Japanese or get someone that does. The seller really should be getting low stars to explain this because Diawa makes great reels. I'm a little bummed to say the least. I'm still gonna use it though but will save up for a tanacom which is English and US compatible.

Only holds line to fish around 500'
Works great. Very strong motor. Used for Halibute. But it only holds enough line to fish around 500'
